This has to be the most emo party macro ever.

Things like that are why we should have a special, once per RL day, PvP button.

YES!!! ppl need to stop with the stupid call/phrase in macros in pt. outside of it being an ability we might need to know your using, say " {Provoke} {Just used it}" or "{Provoke} in 5" or when weaponskilling just saying the skill name period, so that someone might be able to plan out a skillchain like "{Raging Fists} {Just used it}!!!" ppl can feck off with their "Get your *** over here!" /ja "Provoke" <t> macros

Friend of mine, Galkan PLD... used to use this one:

And I do hate the occasional SAM that thinks he's Ichigo/Renji from Bleach, or the NIN that thinks he's Naruto/Sasuke from Naruto. WE GET IT. HOERU, ZABIMARU. KAGE BUNSHIN NO EFFIN' JUTSU. STFU.

I knew a drk back in the day that litterally had a good 3 line poem for ever ja ws and spell he/she did... it was like shantotto only not cute and full of emo.
There however was one I liked I think was something like good news everyone I just saved alot of money by wsing with {tachi: Gekoo}

Not sure what you mean by that. Like whenever they do that everyone can and probably will attack said person? Cause if thats what you mean I completely approve. There was nothing funner then having someone get charmed in namis and since we manaburn like 20 people pull there staves out and go to town.

I like this thread. But almost everyone should remember that when you start the game you tend to put a /p in all your macros. You realize later on that they're unnecessary an annoying. I keep nine corny macros only for the Lolz. Those are my teleport macros from my Tele-whoring days. And i have seen a few corny macros from other people (wont say who, but ill say for what it was)

I think that pro/shell, Convert, Fish, TP and BLU solo SC are the only /p macros needed.

Pretty much, you see someone do something REALLY annoying, you turn on PvP, and just gat them. No exp loss, no weakness, and they can come right back to life...but just killing them once would be SOOOOO worth it. To prove a point, is all.

lol...the few i have in /p is
1. Pulling /p {Ranged Attack} <t>.
2. MAYBE a /p {Provoke} <t>.
3. i had a /p {Sekkanoki} {Samurai} {Skillchain}. Right untill i realized ppl dont read or care and WS anyway...
4. Blade: Ku macro /p {Elvaan} {Ninja} {Warp} {Full Attack!} >>>{Blade: Ku}<<< [<t>].- Not relevant cuz i dont use Ku in Pt :p- used to have /p >>>> {Blade: Jin} <<< --> <t> <-- {You can have this.}. - dont really use it anymore

i dont even use WS macro in Dyna or Einherjar... Ctrl + W is just easier.

I had a Ninja in my party couple of weeks ago that did this for every ninjutsu and JA. I believe everyone in the party told him to STFU at the same time. We stop pulling so he can remove those Macros.

I have to admit, some macros are annoying. Specially in a pt that goes on for hrs. I hate the once that do <call1> every other min is like WTF STOP!!!

Heard it once and I told her to take it out.
She got mad when I told her she is most likely annoying everyone.

edit: Only macros I have for any of my jobs are my Pro/Shell macro for WHM. I used to have a SleepII macro for my RDM for when I'm in a meripo or something (Mamool's or w/e).. but when I started getting asked to come RDM for Dynamis for my EG LS at the time, it got quite annoying having that mac for SleepII >.< So I erased it. Was tempting to put my COR rolls in /p for my lulzCOR but I put them to /echo :D

I only use text in my macros for my WHM protect/shell and some silly emotes that are on a seperate pallete from my party macros. Oh, and I use /echo to time my Gear Change >> Boost >> Asuran Fists so I can get it in before I attack again.

personally, the only party macros i like are PULLING macro, ((not a every 5 second RA mnacro) voke macros (like mine... <t> {mine}!...) and the occasional Cure IV or Cure V macro. c1, 2, 3, can SMD.. bwahahahah

self SC notifying macros are ok also XD

but 90% of party text macros are just plain out *** annoying... i usually tell the idiot to send them to /echo instead of /party

and if they refuse to comply, i just b-list them ROFL..

now that nobody and their mother does skill chains anymore in exp parties, i've stopped announcing my weapon skills (i'm SAM). i used to have a macro that would alert me when meditate was up, but that's gone too now. i basically have nothing now except a linkshell macro that spans 4 buttons and dictates half of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give you Up lyrics

Party macros I use:

Protect/Shell if I'm on healing duty.

BLU self-skillchain call. It rarely makes a difference but it's nice when somebody waits to WS so I can SC properly. I don't play SAM, so obviously no Sekkanoki macro.

Pulling.

Beyond that, /p macros get excessive really fast... maybe a voke macro or "shadows down!" macro if you're NIN, but other than that I can't think of anything off hand that I need to know about so badly that the chat log isn't sufficient.

Know what's better than /p macros? /say and /em macros! I've seen way too many /say Call Wyvern macros... and there was this one guy in a party just inside the first gate in Garlaige, I think he was a SCH? We were outside the gate and were getting flooded with /em's... the one that comes to mind was
"(their name) goblet of fire". Yeah.

Can we add Cor macros behind Smn and Bst on the most annoying list?

or anything of the sort. We don't need to know your lucky numbers, you need to know your lucky number, so /echo that up.

EDIT: This is on a different note than the Cor, but rather in responce to the above poster. I do use a Call Wyvern macro myself and I've never had anyone call me out on it. Probably because it is /s so it barely shows up and because I don't use it in the party. Unless I 2Hr, Hien tends to stay nice and alive, and if need be I'll just ctrl+j up my menu and select it.

Ugh, on SAM I used to have every GK WS macro'd to something really lame and dorky from FFTactics. lol I'd use totally useless crap just to see them sometimes because yes, I really thought they were totally awesome at the time. </3

I usually don't pay attention to pt chat outside of my ls meripos, but this one caught me by surprise:

/p macro text gets old after a while when it comes to things like spells or abilities you can use every minute. It's like saying 'Hey look at me! I'm doing my job!'. The most annoying are Summoners who have macros for their avatars and 12 yr olds on Scholars who think they need to announce what Arts they are switching along with some lame Auto Translate text after it.

The ones that I remember the most are:

Monk uses Boost.

Yeah he had 2 calls in one macro >.< He did it so much when I was in Valkrum Dunes that I still remember it when ever I see someone use Boost.

Samurai uses Third Eye.

TaruWarrior uses Provoke on the <t>.

Don't know if anyone mentioned this but I'm too lazy to read the whole thread. Drg's should have a macro for super jump. Ive been a drg for a good long while and I just recently started to lvl whm. I totally know what my mage friends mean about wondering why the hell I cant target the drg.
