I think what someone was saying was when a person your LS is using their Dynamis pull/voke macros when they are not in Dynamis.

That happens once in a while, and the first time or two it's lulzworthy, but after that usually someone will say something.

I don't mind the /l Raise macros that our WHMs all have since sometimes it's funny when you're not doing an event and you see them raising people, then do a quick /sea of where they are to see what they might be up to.

I know that my Soul Voice macro is something like /l It's DISCO Time !!!!!! ~ {Soul Voice}{Activate} and whenever I might use it outside of LS activities (rare), I get people like "Ara, what the hell are you into now?!?"

Really though... when ppl have /p macros on stuff they do alll the time like SA and WSs or Spells. Everyone in your party by the end of it will wanna strangle you. Only person not annoyed by it will most likely be the macro maker. If you like it then make it into an echo I say. That's what I do <.<; Only time repeated /p macro usable is naturally acceptable by everyone is for pullers. Even then it's still annoying when the /p macro is extremely drawn out and unnecessary!

All is good tho. /p Macros wont kill anyone! Just be sure to handle some negative criticism at times when given.

Does the party/alliance/linkshell need to know about it? Yes? Put it in the macro. Otherwise, don't bother.

I have 3 "talking" macros that I remember.

BLM: {Stun} > <t> {Just used it.}

WHM: {Flash} > <t> {Just used it.}
WHM: {Benediction} {Just used it.} {Take Care} (The only 2hr I macro btw >.> so no shouting at me "OMG 2HR MACRO NOOB!")

As far as I'm concerned, if it's something I have a remote chance of pulling hate with after spamming cures/nukes, the PT can know it. Other than that, why would they need to know I was hasting someone? The person I haste has haste, the person I didn't haste probably does too >.>

Oh, sorry. I DO do that for my Alt-char mnk lol..

But it's just a simple {Combo} and that's it. I meant mostly in the category of back line job spells.

Yeah, I feel ya there. And agree wit the SMN's thing. Seriously, they have to be the worst offenders of the "unnecessary party announcements" thing...

Don't forget about the Bst Macros. I believe they are the #2 behind SMN for most unnecessary announcements.

Also, I think it is funny that some rdms but not all don't want to let their party members know they are converting. I just remember in one of my imps pt a rdm didn't used pt marcos when converting so, when he got aggro by an imp which I guess was casting some kind of magic attack before it start hitting him, we just believe he was converting. Until he died.

Honestly, as a Whm, if someone's health is as low as when a Rdm Converts, I assume he/she is dead and prepare to raise. Generally only Rdm and Drks* get that low. So, I'm still relaxed. I know the ls tank names so it's all good.

*Souleater + WS = tanking. Then death.

Yeah, I'm always a "better safe then sorry" kinda guy.

For instance, when running ls members through ***, I ask if everyone's got the prerequisite ***done first, sometimes a couple times. Why? To save on *** unnecessary trips. We ain't leaving til I get an answer...from everyone. I don't like doing ***3 and 4 times in one trip.

A convert Macro is the same thing for me...why not just say it? You're saving me from a mild heart attack...and I would think that's reward enough ^^

These posts gave me an idea. Reading about a Rdm that's gonna freak his party out with Convert Macros lol.

/p Oh ***! Aggro!
/wait 1
/ja Convert <me>
/wait 1
/p Get it off! Get it off! {Help me out}

Edit: I have a whopping total of 4 macros with /p lines in them.

One is when I play Ranger or Thf and pulling.

The rest are for my other jobs if a mob pops in camp or we're waiting for a mob to pop so we can fight. One per job.

/stnpc
/p <t>. Pop.
