/digs around in pocket for two pennies and tosses it in the middle of the pile.

Anyways here's my two cents. I lvld rng 1-75 myself, loved the job, I had np pulling , but it got frustrating if u were dishing out too much damage and next thing you know u had another mob chasing u while pulling. From personal experience when i hit the mire on imps, i got so friggen frustrated with all those brds thinkin there hot ***. that i dare i say, whipped out my Loxley bow and went to town. i figured id suffer with doing 400 sidewinders for insta claim. but then again, thats only cause i got pissed at the 3 brds monopolizing the zone, so i tried to chase them out, and succeeded, which frankly was loads of fun.

Personally a well geared and prepped rdm can pull in parties just as well as a bard... just most aren't willing to do it.

Cor Bullet is expensive, i hate to pull with Cor. personally i like thf, rng, bard to pull, and i just use Light shot when mob coming.

4 pages so far, and all you guys talk about is merits. It says best puller, not specific enough on just merit parties alone.

Best puller by far is SMN. Hi special mob in the middle of a group of links. Need it to come straight to you? Have a SMN pull it.

Hell, they can sneak pull it if needed.

Let Carby die, and the one mob comes after the SMN, while all the links stay there huddled together.

SMN is the best puller in game.....

my favorite part of this thread is rng's saying "my best dmg comes from ws at the end of the fight."

very very true, but take a look at who is seeking a party?

Here is a pop quiz.. (without looking at your server choose which is most likely at this exact moment!)

are there?
a) like 10 cors
b) maybe 5 bards?
or are there
c) like 20 DDs?

Your server must be huge. On Ifrit and Ramuh, if there is more than one Brd OR Cor seeking, the world is coming to an end.

Whats funny about the COR vs RNG is this:
RNG outdamage the COR, no questions. But, the COR will buff up 4-5 DDs, (2 DRG/mage can do the healing if on colibris and there be no need for a mage, sure you lose haste but you have 1 more dd) making each DD 10-20% stronger. So whats the best "DD" sort of depends on how you look at it. Same gos for BRD pretty much, the CORs 1K+ WS and DOT is just a bonus!

As for low level partys id say RNG makes good pullers for camps where you need to run around to find mobs. Though even at early levels the rng have hatecontrol issues to consider. THF is a good puller too, until you hit 50+ and start to burn stuff. Already then BRD is probaly the best puller. WAR and SAM makes ok pullers too on low levels where you arent chaining that much. In my opinion when it comes to low level partys, take what you get and go whit it, or wait 1 hr for the right job to turn up, and then consider whats fastest exp. But this is ofcourse if there arent a "puller" job seeking. After they added level sync this issue is not as huge as befor, but its still there.

But i agree that many jobs have different benefits in different situations. Like its been said, lets take temenos carby run as an example. A SMN pulling is what can make the differens. So if we are not talking only meriting, its depends on what you do.

I have no problem chaining. The only time the chain is broken is when someone goes afk or we run out of mobs. Before I didn't even have QD recast merits, I was still able to keep the chain, buff, and still have time to do whatever. Ranged delay doesn't mean anything other than you have to stand there a fraction of a second longer, it's not chain-breaking.

Well 600 delay can be rather problematic when you go beyond chain 5 and have competition at your camp.

QD recast timers aren't exactly condusive to fast pulling unless you got full recast merits and augmented Mirke catering to it. Other than that all you can do is pray rapid shot goes off when you pull. 600 delay + bullet delay = pretty damn long.

COR v. BRD in meripo? Depends more on the player then the job. I'm sure there are many a Cor (myself included) that could rock a meripo, even "a good bird" one.

Judging by many of the responses on this thread, there are a lot of misconceptions about Corsair and its ability to "keep up" in a meripo "like a bard". Contrary to what most have speculated, I (nor would any good player) have no problem buffing x2 front line and x2 backline, keeping the mobs lined-up AND throwing in a few Leaden Salutes every now and then.

Pfft, give Cor a haste roll and who needs bards lmao.....

JMO^^

Lol.
Some1 said that thf is hate control, true that!
That's why you want the thf pulling.
1.- the puller is gonna get somuch hate.
2.- the puller have to be able to pull non stop.
3.- the puller must not die(so he/she can keep pulling)

So yes bard will be the 1st option.
Now you want a second best puller, thf hands down.
>>>Run to the mob shoot, run back to the party SATA/TA or w/e (hate control) and all your hate goes to your tank.
+ thf have the best eva in the game, I have pulled links with no sleepers and just by casting shadows and evading we can deal with the link.

Hands down thf is the best second puller.

Gotta agree. My THF duo partner is awesome at pulling, rarely gets hit except for in really bad situations...

Depends on what your doing. If your aga burning wamouras i'd say rdm everytime. If your pulling multiples of stuff that can attack you probably sch... if your going for sheer surviviability on most pulls thf then rng. Low hate long ranged pulls both generally have utsesmi and have acess to the lowest lvl movement speed. If your going for short pulls against competetion I'd say drg. A good drg claims better then pretty much any job lol.
