Opinions on FFVII Remake: Intergrade PS5 vs. PC? I already have it on PS5, but barely got into it. It's on sale right now on Steam for $20.

Heh. This is what's holding me back from getting Chrono Cross Radical Dreamers on steam. So many reviews saying it's broken.

I like some games on PC that have mods, I've been playing them recently on my laptop to force some use out of it. Can be fun but a lot of them are over the top.

Im really a very creative person.

While watching a big movie tutorial of Godot, I came up with more two very good ideas for peak games.

One is the most gameplay-ish, basically dogs playing snooker.

The second one can be a "Dog Washing" game, where your goal is to wash the dog.

There will also be a hidden gem on it: Depending on you washing style, the game will automatically call the cops and throw you in a prison for being a danger to society.

The final boss level will be washing a cat.

Sometimes I think there's no way someone could be that stupid and everytime I'm wrong because they are. Humbling, really.

Two Mona Lisa Theory

2nd one possibly by Da Vinci, 3rd probably by his apprentice. Does that affect the value of the famous Mona Lisa? None at all, irrationally expensive things have value just because we believe they have value. I do feel like AI arts arent really art though, but things don't have to be art/unique/valuable to be useful or enjoyed. Synthetic diamonds have their use.

Also its kinda funny that people would be up in arms with AI drawing arts learning from people art, but are totally ok with AI coding programs learning from other people's programs.

You have people claiming copyright on code generated by an AI just because they gave it some words as input and it spat it out.

If we get another AI to start writing prompts to feed into an AI to spit out some code, does the second AI have copyright on the first AI's generated code?

Who actually wrote the vibe coder's code. If your employer pays you to do some work and you get an AI to do it for you to save time, is your employer better off for the time savings or worse off for having to pay a middleman to use an AI via proxy.

Was there a single event where they didn't have them sing Golden the entire year.

Ive been progressing smoothly in my learnings.

Still going on with pixel art. I just learned the “correct way” to draw a curve, and it drastically improved the feels of the drawing.

Started to do some practical learning in Godot. AI summary of the theoretical part gave me a good foundation, now Im actually interacting with the interface. Maybe the example Im following is kinda messy in terms of program architecture, but I guess exploring options triumphs over doing the correct thing at this stage.

While doing that, got more two nice insights for a game. So far, I got 8 ideas I do think promising:

- dog washing
- dog running
- doggos vs slugs
- a game kinda wario, where the player is a indestructible character, but that can only do long range attacks.
- a similar game to the previous one, but where the character can only do grappling moves.
- a real time card game
- a snooker game but with gimmicks
- finally, my “final challenge” where I can make an isometric game that has some of FFXI, and also something of Tibia (in that you can instantiate the game and play with a small group of friends.

It is a long way, but I think me and AI can do that!

Potential players be like:

I have to second that. I'd probably have my reservations, too. but to not completely break the doggies spirit; if a game has it's strong points people can see past the fact that AI was used for some assets if it's a smaller indie developer.
I remember watching a review from MandaloreGaming of Stasis: Bone Totem where it was mentioned that some of the art was done with AI yet in the steam store it still has very positive reviews.

Never mind, apparently the devs removed the AI bits before the review was released which the reviewer confirmed later on.

EX33 used AI. Still game of the year.

It's just a tool. Used correctly, you want it.
