Sometimes its kinda harmful picking those art videos on youtube. Because being an youtuber means you have more interest in entertain than producing an art.
Ive been watching pixel art lessons for about 20 days, and I can definitively see my pixel draws suck.
(Even more because I feel like the guy teaching it keeps saying “have fun, have fun” and maybe its a password for not teaching how to do the “right” thing).
I see some gorgeous arts, but the artist says: “Im doing pixel art for 3+ years”, so you can understand why that person is good.
But then, a guy appears saying nonchalantly: “I need to learn pixel art, I know nothing but I only got 4 days”.
Then the day one, he starts off by knowing how to use Asesprite, he draw a good cup, uses a good color composition, uses some dithering, some principles of light and shadows, draw a good beer cup then snubs: “I wouldnt ever use it in my project”. Then proceeds to draw more two bottles that are very good, and he says: “ok, this is grade B”. For supposelly the third try of the first day of doing pixel art.
Then the second day he proceeds to do animation…
Maybe Im just being salty, because if dude is legit, either he is a massive genius for doing something in 1 day that I cant even get close after about 20, or maybe Im just a really slow learner.
Either way, this type of video is just toxic for someone learning. Either you are wasting your time with a guy full of ***, or you are having a very negative feedback
You must understand the future will be compose by dominant dogs, who dominate the AI, and those NPCs that dont even have avatar pic, that will be replaced by more cultured chatbots.
So, if I were you I would be worried by my prospectives
Depends what you plan on running, too. 640x480 bots with no GUI addons, you could easily run a dozen on that. 4k texture pack and bloated UI addons that render with multiple layers of windower primitives? Might have trouble with 3.
$2700 for a 5070?! I haven't looked at laptops in a long time, but holy crap.
I know GPU and memory prices are out of control right now, but my god that seems so high for a completely mid-tier machine.
I don't see anywhere in that listing what resolution it runs at. Being OLED I'm betting it's 4k which is going to drastically murder your performance on that 5070. 14" 4k OLED is beautiful though.
I don't really care about graphics quality so much as having the boxes run smoothly. My last one ran four smoothly and had worse stats. I think it was a Gtx 1650 graphics card. I think I used dgvoodoo. Gearswap was fine. I was able to use Ejin's multi-box set-up and commands.
With razer you're paying more for the brand than the value of the parts so to speak. Like the apple of microsoft operating laptops.
Razor does not make good products. Neither does Alienware. Dell (who makes Alienware) is also an absolutely horrible company to deal with about anything.
If I was getting into PC gaming on a laptop at this point... I'd probably get a 14 or 15" thin and light 2-in-1 machine with integrated graphics for around $1000-1500 and just pay for a cloud gaming service. I know that doesn't help for FFXI, but the current state of hardware... I wouldn't be buying a $4000 laptop right now. I wouldn't be buying any PC right now.
I had gotten a new laptop and regret it. Some reason 6 instances of XI cause it to go insane, and i cant figure out why so I left it and just use my PC. It was over 3k too, and it still does it with other games. Laptops suck now
Could be because its too new. I have issues on my non-focused screens in certain areas on my 4090, issues I didnt have on my 1080. Literally the only difference was swapping video card, and i can load the 6 chars on my vastly inferior mediabox and theyll run fine in these problematic areas.
Not sure how to explain it, but thems the breaks of playing a 25 year old game on modern hardware.
Anyways, another game for “the modern audience” flopped.

When I came back to XI I too noticed certain areas just don't play nice. First I was on an AMD 6900XT and now I have a 7900XT and same issues. What's real odd is for instance in Port Sandy near the gob box I crawl getting minimal FPS and I get a whine from my PSU. No other game does this as far as I can tell.
Crimson desert is cooked too, went from moderate anticipation to DoA:
PS version needs internet connectivity to run
PC version snuck in Denuvo a week before release
Man that sucks to hear about Crimson Desert. I wasn't necessarily hyped for it, but figured I'd snag it on a sale. But yeah, those are some deal breakers.
If Metroid Fusion was like this 23 years ago, I'd have a heart attack. The SA-X was scary from the first encounter but after that played like normal with later encounters. But here? Super Metroid X fusion really takes it further.
Why don't you ask chatgpt to "draw" what ever pixel art you need?
Asking for a friend, but which service is good for editing images?
ChatGPT really sucks for images, but I read that Stable Difusion is better, and I think Nickelny has a sub of it.
How is it?
You can download stable diffusion and run it on your own PC, so can generate as many images as you want, I think that's the good of it. Its being better i have no idea, i feel like maybe the other AI might understand your language/prompt better and be easier to use.
What if it's not the picture itself that's valuable, but the rarity? AI generated art is easily replicated so it feels worthless compared to some starving artist pouring their heart and soul into something. There's only one Mona Lisa. All the rest are cheap knock-offs. The original retains value as the progenitor. The rest? Well it's kinda like multiplicity.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
