Not really, I care very little about what other people think about my gear, It's never been an issue to me when I was playing the game hardcore. Now that I honestly have no drive to play the game, I care even less about my equipment. Am I gimp in some aspects? Yes. Would I attempt to better my gear if I wasn't so bored of the game? Yes.

In my fun time, I have better things to spend my time on. Playing TF2 is a better thing for me to spend my time on because I enjoy the activity, Watching a film or going out with friends is more fun to me than playing this particular MMO. Doesn't mean I think all time used playing MMO's is time wasted, but time spent doing something you're not enjoying, just for e-peen is in my opinion futile.

If I'm not having fun doing a certain activity I'm not going to do it, I don't have an addictive personality so if I'm not having fun with something I don't feel a drive to do it.

If I ever do start playing again, and enjoy the game then I'll start trying to acquire better gear again, but until then with the limited time I'm going to spend in the game, I'd prefer to do something that's fun, and not work.

....You play TF2? That's possibly the shittiest shooter game ever made and ruined the orange box.

Cheap gameplay, cheap graphics, lag ect. ect. *** *** sucks. Play a real man's game like Halo.

What do you find sucks about it? Demo-men being overpowered? HWG's being UP? I mean I'd debate it if you had a logical stand point from where to attack it from.

The game has shitty graphics, it's not an old game but it looks like it was made in 2000. The weapons and ***are just gay. Shitty looking flamethrowers and knives and ***? It's laggy, like a lot of steam games, it just sucks all around. Most over rated game ever.

The only thing worth buying out of the orange box was portal. HL2 wasn't very good either really.

you could point out the horrendous game mechanics though.
I actually enjoyed the game BEFORE they nerfed everything, now everything kills you once and you don't have the rock>paper>scissors deal that it had in the beginning.

Lag will happen on every game. Lag is dictated by Ping. Steam games actually have lag compensation built into the game which means the lag is less evident. Of course if you play on servers from Australia then you're going to see lag spikes.

The Graphics are actually really high spec if you play another level besides 2fort and Dustbowl. The Snowy maps and rainy maps have really high decals and high quality textures. Higher than those of HL2: Episode two.

I would agree on this with you, but TF2 as it is now is completely and utterly boring compared to near when it released.
yeah it's balanced like every other shooting game.
i loved the rock paper scissors aspect of it in the beginning.
but it really doesn't have that feel anymore.

I've never had any lag in Halo. All of steam games have horrible servers and lag. They are shittily made games tbh.

I'm not sure what you mean by that? Scouts will still lose to engies if they have a sentry up, Spies will still die to Pyros most of the time, and heavies still massacre Pyros.

Before. The new weapons haven't changed anything that much. Soldiers are good all rounders and demo's pretty much dominate the field if they demo is good.

When did you first start playing TF2 is a better question?
If you played it on release you would have a good idea what the big differences are.
All the differences are as you said, but you can die quick as ***in 16+ games nowadays compared to how quickly you died, how the game played out was more fun because you had to use a little bit more strategy rather that blitzkrieg.

I'm a beta player. And on CP maps the only reason it's faster now is because of the fact that people know the best spots, and generally have a higher skill base with the classes that matter (Namely medic, Demo, Soldier and Scout)

Play a new map, and you'll realise the defending team will win 99% of the time for the first couple of months, and slowly the attacking team will learn strategies to push forward and where sentries will be placed etc.

No, was about the TF2 fanboys. I don't play Halo anymore, but it's still the best, MWF2 is also great.

Also, Not people on this forum. The collective of FPS players rate TF2 highly for the Graphics and gameplay. It's generally accepted as a balanced, well rounded game. Halo has a terrible terrible reputation which seems to be well founded.

TF had serious balancing issues, (Grenades -_-) but is still fun as hell to play.

Halo brought nothing new to the table, it was and still is a very solid single player game, but it's nothing special online. Unreal tournament and Quake do a better job than Halo does online. MWF2 is like Battlefield but worse, everything they added is a blatant rip off from the old battlefield games bar the vehicles. Battlefield bad company 2 (which was the worst battlefield online to date) was more balanced and had a better unlock system than MWF2.
