Asking someone how to move my character.
I was attempting to control myself w/ the mouse for the first 15min I played. I noticed everyone else was able to move in a straight line while ... i most certainly was not. I was called a supernoob and given a linkpearl. edit: Oh, and try to locate my corpse, so I could retrieve my loot... damn you Evercrack. Now that I think about it, I actually tried talking to NPC's in say to get them to do stuff. again, everquest habit. I made an attempt to physically drag someone's corpse away from mobs. Weird thing is, it worked. (he must have been using a 3rd party tool)

Helped one of the worst PLDs of the server build an Aegis back when it was still an accomplishment.

Back in the day... I killed the NM that holds lumber jack and it was my first time. I decided to meet a ls mate while kiting lumberjack to the jeuno zone, well, that was a bad idea. I died right at the zone cause he got me with break and when I went down. He decided to go shopping <.<; he got mule hungry and a couple of high lvl peeps got caught in its wrath. About 20 people died that day~
I learned my lesson though which is lumber jack + zone = do not do, cause he will not depop and you will get a GM called on you. lol >.>;

When I first leveled sam, which was my first 75, someone asked me if I had shikokoyo and I thought they were ninja tools at the time.

Long long ago, I was determined to play NIN/RDM because I thought it was stupid that NINs tanked.

A lot of things listed here are excusable, because you did them just as you were starting to play...
Lets hear some stuff you did long after you reached endgame and should have known better. CFH on a 3% Kirin, back when it was a long kited fight.

Two come to mind.
Once I was PLing a pt in Qufim on RDM. We were at the lake camp and I was curebombing to get hate and killing the ghosts as they popped. Well, eventually I kill a ghost and run out of mp. So I convert and next thing I know I'm dead. I had converted with no stoneskin and a dot on me. Then there was my first manaburn pt killing flans in mount z. On RDM again, I was doing my refresh cycles and keeping the Blms healed up, and this is where I didn't even realize I was messing up. It took like 8 flans for one guy to finally tell me to stop curing him cause he was wearing sorcerer's ring, that they were All wearing sorcerer's ring.

I came from town out to the dunes to warp a friend.
Got to him, did not add him to party, casted d2, and warped myself back to town. /sillynoob

Back at 75 cap I was exping in a party in Garlaige Citadel on black mage. Party got links and instead of casting sleepga I somehow accidentally cast warp on myself. Literally looked like I was trying to ditch the party before we wiped. Good times.

I tossed many a beast seal thinking they stacked to 12 and npced many a crystal to save space. Thought I was making decent money doing it that way too.
When I was higher level I aggroed an Ironclad in Abyssea Attowah and I ran it back to the entrance thinking that the glyphs would keep it out. At that point I was cornered and died. Well everyone else that came in was fresh meet for it and many a player died that day.

One of the 1st times I fought Kirin back in 09' things started to hairy, and I lagged onto my Chainspell>Escape Macro warping my party out of the room. Needless to say that macro was permanently retired that day!

I thought sound aggro was determined by using the /say command. And one time, while unsneaked, my friend started talking around bats. I told her to stop talking or we'd get aggro. We ended up getting aggro and for about a month I thought that was why we aggro'd. u.u

I managed to refrain from being a total noob until Abyssea came out. One time in the middle of an Abyssea party on White Mage I hit the wrong macro and insta-casted Teleport-Holla.... teleported my entire party straight out of Abyssea. Oops!

I'd say the "noob thing" there was macroing a teleport lol
I screwed up once by running out to camp an NM for an empyrean and killing the mob once before realizing i was on the wrong job.... (Was /rng not RNG)

noobest thing huh , not while ago - Tax'et battle , i on RDM accidently did Diaga and aggroed butterflys D:
1. Dead -> me 2. mages 3. all others . Was feel sooo noobish after that ; ;

War, Whm sub and level to 30 in exp parties.

Back in one of my first Valkurm parties, I tried to tank on Monk because I had more HP than the Paladin. On my first character, I also levelled Warrior to 30 exclusively using polearms because I wanted to be a Dragoon.
As for "experienced noob" moments: You know the superstition that Maat is weaker if you enter the arena with no equipment? I started using sleep pots with the Opo-Opo Necklace before re-equipping my weapon. Didn't realize it until the battle started and I only had 70-something-% TP. This was my third attempt at the fight with this character, and seventh overall.

Before i got my first job to level 10 i worked out it was faster kills if i set my home point just inside the gate at Windy. As resting hp took so long it was much quicker just to die home point and run out the gate to start again...needless to say it took me an age to get to level 10
