Buy a themis orb to solo Horns Of War on BST. Get all the stuff needed so i'm fully prepared. Go in, set Gooey on Chlevnik. Run away, then creep back to fire off a tp move and get 1 shotted by meteor. All within 1 min of the ksnm starting. RR scroll in inventory, unused and not switched to Twilight set. HP, feeling extremely stupid.

Not re-equipping weapon after Encumberance during a Mul run. Not sure if Mul conflicts with noob, but that's all that comes to mind immediately.

At least I was MNK. :(

Show up to ADL war/blm lol and years ago doing dyna valk Boss win i went to pop TP wing and i used warp, in the mean time wondering why this to wing is taken so long to activate lol. Boss was at 5% when i did so i was BS,

also above the nyzule warp. I had a friend do that enter NNI went to use sprinters drink and poped a warp lol

Hitting my Chainspell Escape macro by accident during an assault, obviously with everyone else in range (Murphy's law!). Actually, having Chainspell AND Escape macroed in together was a terribad idea to begin with...

While I was leveling BLM in East or West Ronfaure, I got aggro from an orc so I ran to this tower and I asked this player to save me. It wasn't until after I home pointed that I noticed that the player was an NPC. :(

I went War/whm with sword as tank party in Qufim Island. >.>

I went rdm/war once to a dunes pt and a galka was trying to convince me of the benefits of being /whm or /blm and I was all like "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING GEEZ LEAVE ME ALONE"

also, my favoritest one is that time I was on whm in salvage at one of the chariot bosses. My poor dieing mnk tank died because I accidentally casted regen1 instead of cureV.

also also, I found this on my harddrive the other day for a linkshell threadI don't know if that was "noobish" (more like douchebaggy and really bad afk timing) but I don't think I was ever invited back for a KA...LOL I hated camping things.

CHF on not one but TWO Jourmungands. First time we had been fighting it for over three hours. Leaders decided we were tired and had all the whm's tele us out. ><
The LS as a whole had most of our noob moments against that NM...
I think in all the LS CFH'd her 8 times.

I don't like to think of it as a noob moment because I lol'd so hard when I realized what I had done.
I either used Diaga or Poisonga on fafhogg, with darters present, not sure which anymore.

Just like everyone else, for the first 3+ months of my FF career I threw away beastmen's seals whenever I needed inventory space because I had no use for them.

Been there, done that. Kirin fight, teleported 6 peps (including myself of course) to Holla.

I think I have plenty of noob moments...two come to mind:

1) subbing /blm as DRG. And thinking it was a good idea. In my defense though, when you have two jobs that weren't level 1, you take what you can get. Didn't need a warp scroll.

2) Doing a T4 Foret fight, getting so panicked that I smashed a macro button...it was warp. Didn't notice until halfway through casting when Iak said "BABE YOU'RE USING WARP!". Couldn't interrupt in time. Since then, I've taken it out of my macros.

Lesson learned, dont macro warp?

To be fair, when I rdm/blm at meripos back YEARS ago, I warped the BRD instead of cure. He was irritating, so it might have been a Frudian slip?!

This wasn't me, but one of the noobest/accidental/funniest things I've been part of.

Around the time that Scars of Abyssea first came out, I joined a PUG for Ironclad Pulverizer (Razed Ruins guy). I barely had any good Atmas at the time, and naturally no one in the group really did either, so this was a huge deal for us and we were so excited.

After about an hour or so, we finally gathered and popped him. It was just bad. Most of us had never fought an Ironclad before, so we had no clue about his TP moves, or having to proc in between his melee attacks, so we spent the next I don't know how long just dying repeatedly. Finally, we just decided to wipe and try again with a reworked strategy (Suck Less™ would have been a good one in retrospect).

So we spent another hour failing to the KI NMs before we managed to scrap together a set. Of course the whole time, people were constantly leaving and being replaced with new members, so it was taking forever as it was.

Finally ready to pop again! We were doing much better this time. We managed to proc red, get it down to ~20%, everyone's going crazy. "We're gonna win!". 10%. "We got this, grats on your Atma guys!".

Some guy /heals...

Lol yeah, but the funny part is, I'm usually very careful about pressing that particular button. Classic panic mode.

My first time doing Odin with BG, we entered, starting buffing. Instead of casting Ice Spikes on myself, I accidentally hit the wrong spell on my list and warped myself out of the battlefield instead. Most embarrassing moment of my FFXI life.

Good thing there are forgiving people in this world!

Ahhh, memories...

- The time I accidentally CFH on Salvage boss.. wasn't invited to go again. True story though, not even a week later same group went again and someone else CFH on the same exact boss as well. :D

- The time I was trying to show off my RDM to my friends on the boat with the pirates... and converted without stoneskin up... died to a piddly little bone monster that day. Still don't live it down. ._.

- Experienced a CFH on Kirin.. and a 4 hour Kirin without CFH.. also experienced a whole linkshell wiping to a Kirin burn back in the day (One BRD was afk. Were around 6 DRK, few with Relics when it mattered, few of them with KC. Was awesome. Pure. Awesome.)

- Not really a noob moment on my part... but I was leveling WHM in Oldton Movopolos or however it's spelled, and we had 2 plvls. I was told by the JP leader with one of the plvls to [Back Line job]. I just melee'd anyways, the plvls were doing my job for me. And why not kill quicker for more exp, right? Back and forth he told me to get back to just doing nothing. Yet he allowed a RDM with no sub and a sword to melee. I was doing more damage with my club... He got mad I wasn't listening and was helping to kill monsters faster and left with his plvl. To this day it still makes no sense why. XD

My first Einherjar back in the day I showed up to with my inventory space almost at capacity, so after I was given a lamp and entered I thought I didn't need it anymore, so I decided to toss the lamp to save space... Yep.

Back in my old sky LS we were fighting Byakko, and I went to desigengage and somehow pressed right and CFH instead... It was a big deal because he was still "tough" at the time and Ullikummi was still a pain in the butt to claim. We managed to wipe, let him go yellow and recover, and still kill him. But to this day I still don't have Byakko's Haidate... I think I cursed myself.

Standing in Kuftal tunnel, sneak wore off. I thought if I stood still, I wouldn't be heard so I wouldn't be detected.

I thought 'hand-to-hand' actually meant...using your hands. I was excited because it meant I didn't have to buy a weapon.

I asked someone to check me to tell me what my title was.

Very first NM i found was JeJ as like WAR10. Got neck and was like wtf I ain't no thf and tossed. 6 months later I found out what an AH was and it was 15M.....

I also remember my first time seeing Ramuh and not knowing he was an avatar. I asked people how I could look like him.
