Soo, actually playing the PC version of Dark Souls is going to be on hold for a bit. Apparently my new PC has issues allowing my PS3 controller to stay connected. And I'm not playing this game with a mouse and keyboard. That's suicide. <_<

This is kind of a shot in the dark, but does any PC player have spare Blue Titanite Chunks/Slabs at a lower soul level (sub-50)? I'm doing an INT build and I'm building an Enchanted Balder Side Sword, but I can only find one of these early on. I have the Enchanted Ember already.

I don't have an Xbox, so I don't have one. I've used my PS3 controller successfully before for emulators on my previous PC. 64-bit systems seem to have issues with the program I was using previously.

I actually saw a SL1 live stream on the sanctuary guardians and she played with mouse and keyboard, but yeah it sucks(imagine finding out it sucked on the day of launch, i was almost ready to call the game a flop and give up). It is a common problem to have your controller not work initially with Dark souls PC, try checking the steam forums, or just googling "*Your Controller* + Dark Souls problem" and you are bound to find a fix.

Did you try putting the controller into Xbox 360 mode?

Oh, on rereading your post it seems your PC is having issues rather than Dark Souls. Updated controller drivers?

It worked briefly. Then I had to use my keyboard during character creation and it turned itself off. :<

The biggest issue is every time it fails, I have to restart my PC because it wont let me attempt to reconnect it again.

A question for people who use this topic.

Was asked yesterday by josia to make a dark souls II topic, and I wonder how you all feel about that.

Here are the options:

• Keep this topic and use it for all 3 souls games
  

  • Keep the title Dark Souls
    
  • Change it to Dark Souls (I & II)
    
  • Change it to Demon's Souls & Dark Souls
    
  • Change it to Demon's Souls & Dark Souls (I & II)
    
  • Change it to The Souls series (meh)

• Keep all 3 games in different topics.
  

• Make a Demon's Souls topic and keep the Dark Souls topic for I & II
  

  • Keep the title Dark Souls
    
  • Change it to Dark Souls (I & II)

My personal opinion is just to simply keep it the way it is by keeping all 3 games in 1 topic. I don't know how I feel about changing the title, I'd like to keep it as short as possible though. It's possible that things might get confusing once dark souls 2 comes out... but I don't think it's that big of a deal honestly.

I don't think making a Demon's Souls topic is a good idea, I don't feel that it will get very much attention for being a slightly older game. Only you all really would know how much you'd be talking about it *shrug*.

If you have any opinion on this let me know and if you have any ideas it would be nice to hear them.

I've been "idle forest covenent-ing" while I've been sleeping and shopping/eating or otherwise afk-ing. Not sure iif it has been covered in the last 30 pages, but just get in the forest covenent and pop on the ring and go afk. You'll get tons of souls over time doing literally nothing. It has been quite surprising to me the amount of souls I have harvested doing this, last 2 days I've gotten ~10 million souls.

Just leave it as Dark Souls.

I love to murder people that do this.

I like to leave people in my area that AFK, that way they stay there all night.

there needs to be a list of who plays this on which console that way we can do jolly cooperation and stuff. i play on xbox, what about the rest of you?

Not really, since it'd reset your soul count if someone else does it as well.

Ahh.... been awhile since I've been in that covenant. You don't have to be alive, and you don't lose your souls if you die, huh? So there's really no penalty to it.

My two cents would be to name it The Souls Series(or some variation of that ie. Everything Souls etc.).
It most accurately describes the content that is discussed in this thread. The one stop shop for anything souls, cause the series is just that awesome.

I ran back to the top of the tower behind you when you enter and he follows. It gives you alot of room to move around. Fire bombs take him down easy if you buy some from the undead merchant.

Look into Velka's Rapier too, if you can. Unfortunatley I am 360 only so I can't help =/ But just thought I'd throw that out.

Ya I still need them. I'll try to get through a chunk of the game tonight, I know that one of the knights in the kiln does drop blues.

im fairly certain its the halberd black knights that drop blue chunks
