That's what I'm slowly doing as well.

I'm in NG+1, and just found a Ring of Steel Protection +1...which was bad news because that means I'm missing the nq version, and there's no way to get it at this point other than having another kind soul drop it for me. That or getting it on another character, but I highly suspect that I need to have all rings on the same character for the trophy to get unlocked.

You wish. My strategy is to suck so bad that I'm good and you can't even wrap your mind around my movements.

Why can't you get the ring? NQ rings aren't exclusive to NG, they will be in the same location in any playthrough.

This is true(though I was unsure the first time I went through getting muh rings). You find the normal version of the Steel Ring of Protection in Archdragon Peak. It's in the area with the first Ancient Wyvern(I recommend killing the wyvern first, so that you can explore it freely).

I got a couple of fun invasion experiences while invading as a red phantom. One host camped at the top of the ladder just before the Farron Keep bonfire and I had a short ladder battle with him that I emerged victorious from, and made him drop to his death (by depleting his stamina). Basically he had the element of surprise on his side, but I fled once and won in round 2.

Another host was standing on the small connecting bridge between the Anor Londo bonfire and the rotating device, pretending to be afk. I waited for a little bit for him to return before deciding to check if it was a trap, and it was indeed. He used some non-damaging shockwave spell (Force?), but I evaded it and we battled normally and I won.

Another host stood at the same spot as the aforementioned one, except he put loot and prism stones on the bridge and invited me to pick them up. He was in the ninja set (Shadow set). I kept throwing items at him, so his accomplices revealed themselves. He had 2 other phantoms with him, same cosplay, using giant bows, waiting for people to try and pick the items.

Went back and finished the DLC of Bloodborne finally. Was a bit out of practice, and it was NG+++ or something. Had Dameion help me! He even took a vid!
