I really wish I was playing during this time. Some of the old blocks would have been so much fun when the cards were legal and even when ante was around.

Yup. Control decks dominate unfairly with it. Add in limited resources and stuff.

Extremely gay.

From my own experience with the card and the moxes, it's really devastating if you draw it for your opening hand.

The farther you get into the game, the less value they have.

And since you can only use 1 per deck of each, you have to get lucky to pull them.

Playing with all of the old cards is a blast.

i loved magic the gathering on computer who i can play alone but the big problem with it now is they never put some new card so was kinda bad to have only old card.

Btw can we play agains't a computer with lackey or only online? ( and does the computer have some little AI or is just stupid and don't do a thing)?

Amok + Walking Archive in large multiplayer games is always hilarious. Add in some more dumb Red cards like Thieves' Auction and go to town.

What can I say, I'm just a fan of doing really dumb stuff with Red.

Spike/Johnny depending on what the format is FNM or extended now modern and legacy. Favorite deck is Goblins. Nerd squeaked when i seen a mtg thread on here lol. Still collect been playing since 7th edition and have a massive collection but since i moved away from where i played during college i only play with friends randomly when they want to.

Most broken card to me is Jace the mind sculptor which makes me sad they banned him cost me about 600 bucks when they devalued him from 150 to the 60-80 hes worth now :(. That or Food Chain which let goblins attack with every creature in their deck. Or Skullclamp. Proabably skullclamp tho since that was just broken. Id show the pictures but i have no clue how to do that since i am a forum noob/lurker D:.

Also lolserj forgot the mox thats being used in standard atm. Mox opal. Mainly used in red deck wins and such.

One of my tournament goblin decks i used for extended back in the day. Pretty clean cut list and sideboard changes on format as well!

omg.... I wish I remembered my old decks. I know one was dragon/artifact with teeka's dragons and clockwork gnomes...

oh man i died from the rack one time D:. Got wrecked so bad from force of natures when i first started that card was bad *** haha. The rack and vise were both really rough to deal with when i first started collecting i got smashed all the time til i built a collection lol.

Isochron Scepter is such a dumb card. I still can't believe they printed it.

I've actually played through that lock with this deck. Turn 3 you have it set up but the deck i posted runs a lot faster then the lock if you plug it in and playtest it you can check how fast and explosive it really gets. Edit: 1 vial alone would break through a lock alone since its not casting its just putting it into play.

I personally liked the combo of Rafiq, of the Many and Wisper Silk Cloak

Oh snap, poison counter decks. Too bad that shiz is illegal now.

I play a a white/green/blue deck with a few 5 color cards, white life link, blue counters, and mean green monsters. I love my old school Counterspell cards. It's by no means a well put together deck but it does well against the people I play again (which is rare, since I don't play that often anymore). I'm sure someone competitive would destroy it.

That's awful. I loved playing against my friend's poison counter deck.

I'm 99% sure that poison is illegal, but these guys would know better.

Poison is one of the big things they put in the new sets that came out. It's far from illegal they actually improved it alot with adding infect on creatures so they give you poison counters and -1 counters for dmg on creatures! its a pretty good mechanic after they fixed it imo.

Yeah infect cards from recent sets are legal in standard and pretty much every other set they'd be played in

Of course there are reasons to include cards to counter certain decks, and larger games differ in the startegy. However, as a general use card it's a very expensive cost for a card that is only viable in certain situations.

I dunno, this might be worse.

I think they were quite overpowered imo... But of course, there are cards to get around them.
