I did, but I didn't get a chance to introduce myself. Either your uncle wasn't wearing shiny armor this time, or he wasn't at the booth when I showed up. I did see the booth, though.
XD Aww, too bad he wasn't around. Pretty sure he was decked out all the days he was there.
Oh, also, it turns out only my optical drive is IDE, my HDD is Sata ~.~
Compaq computers do weird stuff
a lot of transition computers did that, but it's probably sata 1.
comes because of the overstock of optical drives.
compaq are weird, you should be able to get more ram for that thing for cheap, unless it takes specific ram, I know their older pc's required it, not sure of that gen.

Comicon was weird. I thought all the fun would be in the main hall, but that was all just booths that wanted money. It seems the real point of Comicon was people recognizing each others' costumes and those panel thingies. I wish I had a chance to see that Wil Wheaton storytime thing, but I did go to one where they offered suggestions on how to bring pop culture into the classroom to make make things more relatable to the students.
I suppose saying 56k warning without the spoiler would defeat the purpose... my bad. Good looking photos though, if I can just tweak out the settings they would be stellar!

They require specific ones but the 1.5 you see is AFTER I installed a 1gig stick :x
It came with only 1gig of ram (2 512s), I bought it because the processor is good for a single core, and with the mindset that ram is more easily upgradable. Just haven't had the resources to get more ram.
Anyone know if I can take my photoshop from my laptop, and have it work on my PC? Or, know where I can download photoshop if not? D:
tricky, but illegally yeah probably. torrents would have it
the trial version of adobe master suite (or you can just download parts of it) is available from the website, it's the full version, just needs a serial #

you sure?
(it's typically a matter if high capacity sticks will work) how many slots do you have, or better yet what's the compaq model?
Nupe. I got mine from a cracked version from my sister's friend. D: A long time ago. :<
ah, do you know what your host file is?
go to adobe's website, get their download manager, and start to download the trial for whatever software you want, if you need a serial I can point you in the right direction, this is for nonprofit right?
It's probably just the high-capacity dealie you mentioned. The most I can jam into this desktop is 4gigs, I think.
I was planning to do that eventually, but it might be better in the long run to save up for a newer PC.

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
