Dollfies (the type of figure) have always been expensive since they came out and became popular with the Gothic Lolita scene (those weird kids that hang out in Harajuku). You can order the parts yourself for a couple hundred bucks, paint them yourself, make clothes for them etc. The reason the Yoko one is expensive (and other anime character versions) is because all that crap is done for you and they come with extra accessories yadda yadda.
