yeah thats me. I've been filling out applications but I kinda forgot about how long it might take me to prepare for boards and get my results..lawl...on one hand I was really hoping to have like a month to...sleep..but I want to be employed soon after.
Understandable. Two of my friends who went the nursing route went through Hell their first three years. Their hours were terrible and I think they were in NICU and/or ICU. We barely saw either of them for a while because their schedules were so erratic. (I hope I'm not scaring you.)
My mother was a pediatric and OBGYN nurse for years. It was rough in the beginning for her, but by the time we rolled around, she had a cush private practitioner job. She teaches LVNs and PRNs now, so you'll always have job security even when you're close to retirement.
