I miss when anime was good. Now I just feel old.

I already wondered about this one, and I feel like there is a factor of personal changes in one affinity throughout the years, what is normal.
It is less about the quality but more about the how we have enough of a certain genre as well how the overall affinities changes through generation.
For example: back when I was younger, i really enjoyed shonen. Dragon Ball, Naruto, Yoyo Hakusho were all stories I loved.
But after getting older, shonen doesnt ressonate with me anymore. Demons Slayer, Deadly Sins, Jujutsu Kaisen were all “modern” age stories that I really had a lot of work getting into, and nowadays I barely remember the arcs.
Those school romcoms that I used to like nowaday are almost unbearable.
In contrast, seinen, mature roncom (like using adults in adult environments) as well some experimental sttories constantly became more interesting through the years. Stories like Chainsaw Man wasone of the most entertaining stories I read so far. Currently reading Spy x Family and its being very fun. Rent a Girlfriend (romcom with young adults) was interesting till the mangaka decided to farm over air. Another one, Dr Stone was interesting. Hunter X Hunter is a no brainer. Experimental stories like Blame really were hidden gems to me.
So yeah, I dont feel like the inspiration and creativity simply vanished. I do think many genres just doesnt work for me anymore, as well I suppose some modern age tendencies Im also having trouble getting used to it
