Ok, as you degenerateds want to know, just think about a woman wanting to play guittar while butt naked.

But she wants to play two instruments. But her two arms are already busy with the guittar.

So, figure by yourself how she managed to play two instruments.

Spoiler: the music was awful

Anyways
Heres my experience with wonderful free healthcare

Quote:
Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately we do not have any slots available at any of our locations for the requested ultrasound. Please advice if you want to be added to the waiting list. Currently the wait time is 12-15 months. X-rays are walk-in at all of our locations.

Thank You,

I miss my free healthcare terribly. I work for a non-profit medical institute here so includes extreme discounts, and still costs me like 2.5k a month due to having 3 dependents.

Sounds like Obamacare *** you

Anyways, what good is free if the injury im trying to have diagnosed for treatment will likely get exponentially worse in the next 12-15 months? Am i supposed to just sit around like Hasans dog doing nothing during that time?

As I understand Canadian health care you can have it free if you wait or pay if you want it sooner.

While it may suck, American health care is you pay an insurance company to tell you that your aren't covered, which sucks worse.

Crazy, like 10 minutes from me is a walk-in place that does Xrays, ultrasounds etc. Obviously for an MRI you'd need a referral, but rest of it can be walk-in. My dad was there this morning getting the last xray done on his shoulder that he broke about a year ago and said it was pretty quiet.

You do what the rest of the world with free but slow healthcare does.

Go private, or suck it up and wait.

Hey, it's free isn't it. Don't complain.

Try finding a dentist on free healthcare. *laughs maniacally*

I have "fond" memories of always seeing dentists regularly in my childhood spent in canada's free healthcare system with zero issues or cavities.

I wouldnt have said anything if they said 3-6 weeks waiting list, but 12-15 month waiting list for an ultrasound appointment is a sign that something is fundamentally broken very very badly.

According to the data collected, out of 16,297,628 emergency room visits in 2024, 1,267,736 patients left without having been treated, which is 7.78% of the total, or around one in every 13 visits
But hey, its free

Quote:
A patient died while waiting eight hours for care at Health Sciences Centre's emergency department in Winnipeg Tuesday morning.

Dr. Shawn Young, chief operating officer of the Health Sciences Centre, said at a news conference a middle-aged man was brought to the emergency room by ambulance shortly after midnight.

Just before 8 a.m., staff noticed his condition had significantly worsened. He was taken to a resuscitation room and declared dead shortly after.

I'm sure these two families are proud of their free health care.
Quote:
An Ontario family is calling on the provincial government to introduce legislation that would set maximum emergency room wait times for children after their teenage son died following an eight-hour wait for a doctor in a hospital last year.

Atleast its free! These ungrateful families shouldnt complain about their loved ones dying waiting for treatment because it was free.

District of Columbia is being hit with similar staff shortages and issues here sadly, and is sitting at 8% of visits just left without having been treated

I dunno, the connection between my post literally right before it saying my dad walked in and had an xray done with zero wait time, or did you miss the first post?

Which you can say x-ray isn't an ultrasound, but it's the same imaging place and there was nobody else around there when my Dad went in just before 9 this morning.
Which is where my "Friday before a long weekend" thing came in. Because it's still nice out, it wouldn't surprise me if people just *** off to make this a 4 day weekend.

The French developed metric time after the revolution. Unlike metric weights and measures it never caught on.

I can get an x-ray any time as a walk in, but I was given a requisition form for an ultrasound AND x-ray.

The point is being told its a 12-15 month wait list for an ultrasound is *** stupid. Lets be real here. Imagine telling a pregnant woman "the waitlist for an ultrasound is 12-15 months".

You are correct Ninja, typical ultrasounds and Xrays are performed at the same radiology locations, that's why you might see some of them do Dexa Scans and Breast testing as well, since both xray and ultrasound testing is used for mammography based on diagnostic needs

it's the CT machine and MRI machines that are much more intricate
