Anyone have that person in their family who will sit and do absolutely nothing all day and just hear the smallest fragment (one or two words) of a conversation and want the whole story, asking questions, asking for every little detail, and it's usually when you're busy and just talking with someone in passing?
Yes, and then as soon as you start talking they pull their phone out to answer a text message that apparently can't wait 2 minutes then ask you to repeat the whole damn thing again.
My mom doesn't text.
She'll pull ***like this, my sister once told me "I saw a friend from high school at QT the other day..." and my mom actually DOES get up and come in and says...
"Who was it?"
"You didn't know her, mom."
"Well who was it?"
-Sister tells mom the friend's name-
"Oh, I don't know her, go on."
...like, really? Wtf?
In this case, my sister told me that my dad heard back from my uncle who was basically mediating between us and my dad's crazy cousin who is, quite literally, insane. Sister tells me that...
"Yeah, he said he went and talked to him, told him he wasn't going hunting with you guys because he's too dangerous, his wife was screaming at -uncle's name- from the back room."
"Pfft! They're both stupid."
...of which my mom heard...
"...both stupid."
...as I pass by with laundry and calls me in to try to get me to tell her the story that I don't even know half of.
