Well the mistake I made was I was running off an external backup drive for awhile until I got a new internal HDD, and was using it as my only source of data (outside my SDD for boot).
So it was unwise of me to rely on this external drive as the only source of data while putting off purchasing a new legit internal HDD. Lesson learned :(

I have had nothing but shitty experiences with external HDDs. Always ends up the same, I get frustrated and rip out the HDD and just use it as an internal via SATA instead of USB... which defeats the whole point of having an external HDD.
On that subject I either need to uninstall games from steam, or get another HDD to move music/movies/etc to... I don't know when "Below 100G" became "almost out of room."
I just had a giggle in my spam folder. Haven't gotten one of these in a few years, almost forgot they were real.

I use to play around with them before. These people are really something else. They'll actually have someone show up somewhere if they think 100% they are getting money from you. lol
pretty much.
I understand they removed the open world because S3 had memory issues where the game would just break itself for having to render too much ***at the same time, so sort of understandable... but ***is too small now.
while missing a lot of stuff from S3, I'm having mixed feelings and enjoying the base game for what it is.

You can't just simply take the old game and update/optimize/expand/make better. That would make entirely too much sense and might actually please customers. This is a game from EA after all, 1 step forward and 2 steps back is their corporate moto.
Besides, way more profitable to release the base game and then charge for "DLC" that has been finished since launch.
pretty much.

That's just poor optimization though. Normal houses and streets aren't exactly complex, high-poly objects and it's not like there's a ***ton of shader effects going on either. There's more going on in XIV or in your average FPS at any given time than the Sims.
So the solution is to hire competent programmers, not remove it. :p

That didn't work out for SimCity though. You'd think they'd learn. I guess I'm more the fool for expecting that much out of EA though. :P
And watch it burn to ashes in the house fire alongside the PC. My idea stops that art!
From what I saw your idea was simply saving all things that could be written down or stored in your own memory and sending it as an email. This doesn't really stop the losing of programs/files at all...
pretty much.

Just seems to be happening with bigger titles more and more lately. I don't mind full on expansions to games, but lately it seems to be more ***that seemed to belong in the game and they couldn't be arsed to finish it on time and decided to charge $20 so you can have it later.
That one mission and a novelty costume DLC has just kind of made me hate modern games.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
