It'll help keep the memory alive and they work hand in hand that way. I know he's taking me somewhere, won't tell me, that day. I thought like a concert maybe, we haven't been to one together, but it's so hard for us to get the same days off

could always make something for him - something that shows you know and learned about his interests - a home made magazine of information and pictures, as one example.
Or craft him something, which takes dedication, resolve, etc. which requires the use of a skill or talent that had to be developed. Or make him a sammich I'm sure I'll find something. I'm just nervous!
