Why couldn't I be uninterested in it while I was in college and supposed to be studying?
Yarr, FFXI be a harsh mistress. I honestly don't really feel up to it, myself. My friends keep harping on me to get back in the game, and I just really don't want to.
I really only want you to play again because of who you are... >_>;

And see, that's why I would play again. The whole caring about getting gear just isn't my bag, anymore. Whoop de friggin' doo, I got a relic. I could care less about all that. All I care about is doing things with friends.

What if the new movies are actually a type of sequal to the series. Remember that at the end of the series the world sort of reset, shinji was left to reshape the world and start it over. Well what if the current movies are the world getting ready to reset again? That would explain why there where so many open coffins on the moon where that boy appeared, already knew shinji's name, and used the word "again" when he woke up.

there is a loop theory out there but no proof besides this pic :P
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to get all the shiny stuffs on XI. That's part of what makes it fun for me, along with the things you have to do to get said shiny stuffs. Even if frustrating as fawk and the last few months I haven't really focused on me. >.> I wouldn't play without a certain taru though. So that does play a huge part in it. :x

I have no interest in ffxi anymore. ;; I was plugging along like normal for awhile, then eventually I was afk unless I was at a ls event, then SoA came out and I was 100% uninterested. No motivation whatsoever to even go there. I went and did a few quests to be able to teleport around the city, got bored, went back to Jeuno and afk'd some more.
Now my husband's pc is temporarily kaput, and I am afk all day, and only un-afk very reluctantly for ls events. I wouldn't, but I am too sad to disappoint my ls mates. But yesterday a grand total of 5 of them showed up for VW event so we canceled, and I was just so darned happy that we canceled the event. I know if the events stop, I will never bother to unafk, and when I eventually dc or get booted for an update, I won't bother to log back in unless my husband wants to.
What's happening to me! I used to love ffxi! Why couldn't I be uninterested in it while I was in college and supposed to be studying? xD

Are you interested in 14 at all? :)
I started a character, played it for one day, got bored of questing, logged out for a few days, and never logged back in. xD I did the same thing with Tera, I was so psyched up to play it when I saw trailers, played it once or twice, got bored, and just never logged back on. My husband insists that since we bought them both, we have to at least play both storylines. Eventually!
Edit: Strangely enough, the very thing that keeps me playing ffxi is the thing I dislike the most. xD I really don't like events. I don't like having to plan my life around a game. If I want to go to the gym or go swimming on a Saturday afternoon, it makes me mad that I can't because that's VW time. If I want to hang out with friends on Friday night, it makes me mad that I can't because that's Limbus time. In short, I want to play on MY time, not on my ls's time, and ffxi just doesn't work that way.
Lately it's more of a job than fun. I need a good, long break. I don't know how to break it to my pals.
Also, click quit game and leave it there at the yes no window while you wait. That way if someone invades and you are busy it just boots them when you log out and log back in
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
