Salads are +0 to DSC/RCP and so are Carrots. The reason I know this is because I attempted to raise a chocobo with 96 in STR/END/DSC by day 29 in order obtain all 3 of the physical characteristics like the Noble chocobo mount.
We are lucky that Ivaar's chococard addon exists and it removes all the guesswork and also all of the information from past guides are about the system before the 2016 rework.
I recommend the first bird for anyone new to chocobos be raised like this:
Abilities to obtain: Gallop & Canter
Day 1-5 Basic Care
Day 6-20 Listen to Music
Day 21-30 Exhibit to the Public
Day 31-64 Delivering Messages (If STR caps early switch to Digging for Treasure)
Day 65+ Basic Care (Buying time to purchase/farm chocobucks to increase END to 4-34 and RCP back to 96-128 before day 120 using R: tokens)

Once this bird is made all the rest come much easier.
I understand that the intellect stats RSC and DSC allow the bird to be smarter in the races, and your saddle gets your END to the minimum value you want to still be decent in the races, but I could trim a bunch of stats in favor of more END in order to have a good hybrid bird for more digs per day right?
It'd simply come at the cost of consistency winning races, but they're RNG anyway and I could just brute force them... no? |

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but the probable holdup on registering your fellow as a trust is that you need to be engaged for trusts to do anything, whereas fellows have their own logic that works whether you're engaged or not.
Dunno if this is a technical limitation of trusts or what, but it'd be a downgrade for a fellow and kind of a bummer.

I second this sentiment. If could even be an interesting way of customizing a very specific trust. So let say, you get signal pearl, and like originally intended there were ways of customizing it's behavior depending on what you gave it to equip. But you could expand that system of equipping a set of XYZ 4x4, makes your fellow a 3 song BRD that does some cures, or a Haste 1 RDM that never WSed, and burst 3's. Etc. the fellow system could be the perfect way to customize at least 1 trust to the extreme, let the other 4 be generic. And like chocobo raising a way to create a stable of fellows specifically designed to fill the gap. Limit it to one fellow per job. So my NIN fellow trusts is one sort of job, my GEO fellow trust is different, could be soooooo cool |

The use cases I had in mind were mainly burning down GFNMs in low-man scenarios and sniping Ou with the ol' damage cap radiance. I haven't had much cause lately to try those out with Primes, I'd love to see how they fare.

I have to imagine that Laphria and Helheim occupy the same general spot in a WAR's kit, a 2h Naegling-dethroning slashing option that plays well in zerg and takes good advantage of skillchain opportunities. Notably, both Disaster and Fimbulvetr play nicely with Savage Blade, so if you pair up with a BRD or COR you can do some pretty sick work. Laphria offers break options, Helheim gives access to Shockwave.
In my experience, Chango is still the GOAT for WAR multi-stepping light solo but as Taint points out that's pretty niche. Ukon's ideal use-case is even more niche and sort of requires buy-in from a group to support it properly.

Does doom from cruel joke or endeath from weapons/armor/spell land on any Limbus mobs? I assume not because every mob in Temenos is a beastmen or unclassified type (which are usually immune to doom and death), and Apollyon carries a 50% resistance rank to darkness.

Only really notable change from the set that Simon posted on the last page was a fluctuation in the additional pdl with bhikku hands.
Despite playing with berserk and or geo spells
Nyame hands r30 seemed to shine over af+4 and bhikku
But I only really ran it against the bat def and the knight crawler.
Niqmadu and gere are pretty much even swaps but I agree the sbii is worth the 100-1000 dmg
Hoxne at rank 7 is a nice pull ahead but I opted for the Sheridan for the same reason
Relic+4 head hoxne Sherida seems like a great combo for 3000 tp

I agree it's not likely that SE would merge auction houses so all servers shared one. I wouldn't put it past them to do something silly like - when you auction an item it goes to a random server to be auctioned. Or maybe a weighted system where it'd go to a server that has 0 already listed.
I hear you complaining already about AH listings needing buyer/seller names and that not working cross-server. Reasonable, but I could also see them creating a cross-server broker account to handle it - something with an all-caps name to make it obvious the item has come from off-server like AMAN or MHMU or whatever.
But yeah let's be real, they're not gonna *** with the AH.

Neat. I have the 8bitdo SNES controller with thumb sticks... but I don't think I'd like it for other stuff.
I'm probably buying the Steam controllers... whenever those come out. The 1st Steam controller was pretty good, but very wonky from trying new things. The new one intrigues me because it's PlayStation layout + Steam mouse stuff.

I get where you're coming from on those topics. Regarding ultrawide monitors, I considered getting one, but after reading how so many games either don't have support or have the issues you described I decided against it. I have Acer 31.5" 4k 144Hz IPS monitor and I love it.
About controller issues, I haven't tried my PS5 controller on PC but still use my PS4 controller. For years I fought with it to work trying DS4Windows, multiple different USB cords (it would randomly drop), etc. Even switched to a Power A Xbox 1 controller for awhile because I got so sick of the PS4 controller not working on a regular basis. What fixed it was getting an 8Bitdo adapter. I've been using it for 5 months and it's been flawless. I'd highly recommend getting one!
