That's more intense than grinding out prime weapons.
Having it take years to complete one set is the goal.

The Pet Damage+ bonus on the new armor should apply to pet TP moves that scale with pet dmg+ gear like digest and tp drainkiss too.

I'm confused.
Content seems to be very ranged damage friendly.
New armor for cor and rng with lots of racc, storetp and crit dmg, which is great.
Now why on earth does the same armor have massive amounts of QA+ on it if it's supposed to be ranged attack armor.

The final step of the skillchain cannot kill the mob or it doesn't count.
I simply do jinpu x4 (with soboro) on sam or dancing edgex4 on dnc and have had zero issue.

Quote: -3% haste (doesn't cap),
For what it's worth, any sets that fall 5 or less short of haste cap can be made up for with Alabaster Earring. And since we're probably looking at 30 matters per rank 30 aug (you know it's probably coming, I know it's probably coming, we're expecting it at this point) then it's perfectly reasonable to expect someone to take the time to farm the earring along with their sets.
That said... I kinda take issue with this stuff if they actually do that. Grinding out 30 matters and the requisite points to pay for the higher level augs (It gets very expensive rank 20 onward) per piece is borderline nuts. Getting Rank 30 on alabaster earring alone is a mind numbing process. Now multiplying that ten fold if you want multiple of these new pieces or sets.... ugh! That's more intense than grinding out prime weapons.

Well, bug report submitted. Whether SE does anything about it is another matter. But... the attempt was made. Dont know if you're aware, but it got moved to insufficient information lol
Not "unable to verify" or "working as intended" either

especially when the OHKO move can hit you even if you did no action to the mob Gotta love people fighting the RDM without silence on top of the porter and being permanently Sleep/Petrify locked.

"we gave all the mobs in limbus an innate 50% DT, this will stack on top of any other bonuses to DT that the mobs may gain (ie: sahagin's taking 0 magic damage from bubble shell), we also made defense and DT irrelevant for the players, please enjoy"
IDGAF if theres "EXP reduction from Grace", if they're gonna make mobs that have the ability to OHKO at will, then that EXP reduction needs to be a number starting with 1 with two trailing 0's behind it. especially when the OHKO move can hit you even if you did no action to the mob (i was fighting sandworm last night, mantis was being tanked by someone's pup, i got nailed by death prophet, did nothing to mantis from what i remember)

Fwiw Twilight and Crepuscular sets are RR3 and not RR1, so definitely throw that on for sac pulling to make it hurt a lot less.

pet : +360 acc, +360 macc, +210 racc (no aug apparently?), pt lvl +1, da +8%, +8% sb, +8% crit rate, +8% damage dealt.
pet acc sometimes means both acc and racc, would assume its both but would be easy to check once someone gets one of them

Well, they did say they were making malignance easier to get because better armor was coming. Assuming all of this is accurate and assigned to the right sets, here's how malignance jobs make out going from malignance to the new sets:
MNK THF BST PUP DNC going to full aug duty set = +135 def, +344 hp, -160 mp, +95 str, -8 dex, +95 vit, -35 agi, +20 int, +36 mnd, +43 chr, +110 acc, +210 atk, +110 macc, -250 racc, -5 eva, -71 meva, +6 mdb, -3% haste (doesn't cap), +6 dt (as in increased damage taken), -16 stp, -20 pdl, +25% da, +19% ta, +25 sb.
pet : +360 acc, +360 macc, +210 racc (no aug apparently?), pt lvl +1, da +8%, +8% sb, +8% crit rate, +8% damage dealt.
RNG, COR going to full aug clemency set = +200 def, +230 hp, -160 mp, +94 str, +7 dex, +46 vit, +44 agi, +27 int, +11 mnd, +18 chr, +110 acc, +210 atk, +110 racc, +110 macc, +210 ratk, -62 eva, -92 meva, +3 mdb, -6% haste (doesn't cap), +1 dt (as in increased damage taken), +10 pdl, +30% crit rate, +24% qa, -44 enmity.
pet : lvl +1, +360 acc, +360 macc, +18% hp. -8 dt, +8 regen, +8 sb.
RDM, BLU going to full aug sworn set = +190 def, +458 hp, +296 mp, +102 str, -49 dex, +132 vit, -66 agi, +36 int, +63 mnd, +23 chr, +210 atk, +110 acc, +110 macc, -250 racc, +175 mab, +160 mdmg, -66 eva, +43 meva, +3 mdb, -4 dt (as in decreased damage taken), -5% haste (doesn't cap), -50 stp, -20 pdl, +35% fast cast, +41 enspell dmg, +24 phalanx, +34% ta.
NIN going to full aug revelation set = +190 def, +287 hp, -160 mp, +120 str, -10 dex, +63 vit, -18 agi, +58 int, +0 mnd, +51 chr, +110 acc, +110 racc, +110 macc, +210 atk. +210 ratk, +107 eva, -192 meva, +1 mdb, +0% haste (does cap), -20 stp, +30% crit rate, +1 dt (as in increased damage taken), +34% da, +9 pdl.
Since I did all that by hand, I'm sure I screwed up in places. Feel free to correct any and all errors.

FWIW, on Carbuncle we have 32% exp loss reduction from grace and twilight is r3, if you care to figure it out. It was ~900k (a good friend of mine, who sent me a screenshot lol)
Lots and lots of death.
I think the block/DT thing might be there to stay, because PLDs who can block will otherwise trivialize all the physical (and probably magical) damage, making the fight a joke.

list just seems wrong. head/legs <-> hands/feet augments need to swap most likely. don't know why the dats have them out of order, but not like they haven't been listed out of order before.

Carbuncle.Elvaanmoq said: »I heard the PLD lost around 1M EP. Let's suppose worst case scenario, that's ML50 PLD.
At ML50 you normally lose ~77k EP.
That PLD was either using Twilight/Crepuscular set, or was constantly getting a Raise. Let's assume the worst one, raise1.
That's 50% recovered EP.
So that's ~38k lost EP on each death.
This 38k is furtherly divided by 50% because of the limbus Grace, so ~19k lost EP per death.
If that PLD died at least 60 times during that Omega fight, then yes he lost a bit more than 1m EP.
But this is assuming he never got R2 (75% recovered instead of 50%) or R3/Arise (90% recovered)
Anyway, whoa! Intense! Kudos to that PLD.
They need to do something about the stuff Martel reported in the other thread. It's been like this for normal NMs since the beginning and they only fixed the Invincible part, not everything else.
It's beyond stupid, I'm having a hard time to believe it's working as intended.

It was a bloodbath for sure. Of course, much/most of this could have been avoided if the people there (ourselves included) knew stuff since the beginning, things that were explained on the last page on this thread. Anyway, the focus is to get the Detectors down ASAP, forget about damaging Omega while the Detectors are up because they can/will destroy everybody. Eventually we kept in a cycle of 10% health down for Omega, then 2 legs -> tons of detectors spawned -> zone wipe, rebuff. A PLD there kept reraising so Omega would aggro them and the group could pull Detectors, I heard the PLD lost around 1M EP. Overall the fight lasted for over 5 hours (at least when I got there, it was at 98% but I believe there were shouts for it since an hour earlier or so).
Last 6% we just decided to get a couple of SMNs and PD zerg it ignoring the tons of Detectors (which seem to spawn way more often < 10% but maybe it is just because we were incredibly tired by then).
I can see how this fight "organized" would be way faster but it was the first try, a learning process. Prepare to go with WHMs spamming nonstop Curaga V/VI, lots of RNGs, some tanks, good support and... infinite patience.

Not sure if asking about potentials is against the rules, but no harm in asking if its even possible.
I'm presuming /c is an action that sends a packet out to the server and they send a reply with the information, its not something that the client knows on its own, right? In that case, is it possible to silently /c every mob that enters the visible 50' radius, or even not until 30' to look less sus, and have it not spit out the reply to the client unless its the ITG mob?
I'm aware this will result in a lot of outbound spam, but SE made the ITG mob indistinguishable from every other mob and the only way to find it is to do exactly this. They didnt give it a unique name, they didnt give it a standout model, either by color or size, so spamming /c would be perfectly normal behavior.

It's known that there isn't an NPC to check. As a result, there's also no evidence the game tracks it.

OK, so I'm still Rank 7, but I just got "Random Adventurer". I don't see a way to choose this title again, unfortunately.
So as of now there isn't a known NPC to check and see if we've received any of these randomly awarded titles previously?

Is there a way to either only send things on zone or send in parts rather than all at once?
Sending reports murders my ffxi - a giant stutter for like half a second. I literally entered the wrong floor of Temenos today because I was doing it by hand and I dropped a down-arrow-key because the addon decided to send the Operator conditions right when I was in the menu. Previously it was just obnoxious, but now that it's doing something at a time when it might actually affect me I'm asking. (yeah yeah I should have used superwarp I know)
(checking for player status = idle might work if you don't want to do on zone, but on zone would be better I think?)
It is possible, its not difficult to add (it was even the original implementation) but consensus at the time was wanting quick updates for ToD and when found NMs.
I don't think the distance to the server is the issue but limitations in lua running single threaded (I'm sure someone can correct me in that).
You're not the first person bringing this up (though most people aren't running into this problem, or accepts it) and I have plans to sit down and look into this issue over Christmas when I have little more time on my hands. Probably just add a toggle setting.

reduce the HP of the 3 mobs to 0 before yours is reduced to 0 is generally the best strategy and for CN get a lot of help from your server.

I remember there is some limit to kills per pearl, right?
Once you get a tactics pearl, things will go faster. Really just a matter of putting in the daily kills / talking to them each day. This is correct - there is a limit to kills per summon. (Used to start at 50 and go up to 100, nobody knows anymore because they patched it higher long after anyone cared but it felt like doubled, start at 100 go up to 200 for me maybe? FFXIclopedia says "start at > 90, end at 200" so that fits my vibes data.)
The Promvyion quest that rewards the Tactics Pearl also gives some XP to the Fellow directly on completion. I don't think there's any other way to level them without kills - kills also generate Fellow Points, which you can use to buy Fellow-targeted Miratete's Memoirs for 10k Fellow Points each (for perspective, I bought the relevant permanent buffs from https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Ajahkeem and have my Fellow at max level and I have 6.2 million extra Fellow Points, so it's not meaningless, but it's mostly "too late to matter"), but you have to kill stuff to get those points, so.
