Why don't you ask chatgpt to "draw" what ever pixel art you need?

Asking for a friend, but which service is good for editing images?

ChatGPT really sucks for images, but I read that Stable Difusion is better, and I think Nickelny has a sub of it.

How is it?

If Metroid Fusion was like this 23 years ago, I'd have a heart attack. The SA-X was scary from the first encounter but after that played like normal with later encounters. But here? Super Metroid X fusion really takes it further.

hi

Using Torcleaver, ML pt Chaos/Corsair rolls no samurai roll
when do you guys use TP, as soon as you hit 1k or wait to 1750 with moonshade earring?ty

HELLO EDGELORDS

Without SAM roll ideal time to use Torcleaver would be NEVER, you just go back into your MH to face a corner and think about the crime you would have committed by DDing without SAM roll XDXD

Jokes aside, i wanna bring into the DRK discussion (and 2h DDs in general) a topic which has probably been discussed already (i hope) but maybe not enough, since many ppl still never considered it in the first place (and since if it has been discussed, ffxiah sucks when it comes to gathering old/buried knowledge into accessible and quickly ready formats):

I'mma about to say it, don't @ me, don't doxx me, don't /slap me in game:

E P H R A M A D ring for Calad/Rede AM3 (or prime S5) TP SET *dodgingpitchforks*

I know what you're thinking, i'm a StoreTP traitor and yadayada.. maybe it's true. But hear me out, we often cater our tp sets for quickest WS frequency (time to WS), while rarely (at least for me) accounting for OVERALL DPS.

For jobs like Fencer WAR having a dps distribution of 90-91% WS dmg vs 9-10% tp dmg, Ephramad just sucks and it's not a huge mistery. Things change however when we are Japanese Batman cosplayers in disguise calling ourselves Dark Knights, since we swing huge 2h weapons with either Empyrean Aftermath or Prime double/triple dmg procs.

I wanna share something i noticed while running many dps simulations with different gearsets:

Under SAM roll specifically (didn't test it for solo scenario, u won't be riding full pdl solo that often anyway XD), while using 2h weapons such as Calad or Redemption in particular with AM3 up, Ephramad in TP SET > its StoreTP alternative if you have enough atk to use the 10% pdl on it, while also being the best accuracy ring in the game (nice for DRK being prob the most accuracy starved heavyDD).

Needless to say, optimizing AM3 sets is worth it for such reasons, since damage distribution for buffed Calad DRK AM3 is more or less 30-40 % to 70-60% WS dmg distribution, depending at what TP threshold you WS. With Samurai roll, and you already reach your desired X-Hit, so adding extra StoreTP on top of it effectively "only" adds some minimal TP overflow, which for Torcleaver is still pretty strong since it scales well with TP, but when compared to Ephramad PDL for 30-35% of your entire dps, results in giving a lower overall number.

For these reasons, under proper party buffs, Sakpata R30 helm in a proper AM3 TP set for example will outdps Empy+3 head or pieces focusing instead on StoreTP without any PDL nor defensive stats.
JSE Neck+2 > ShitTorque+1 (vim), Sortie earring is also pretty damn good in this scenario and Brutal Earring for non-Hoxne ampulla builds (Schere if you have Foenaria and can drain MP)

Basically when your autoatk dmg is 35% of your DPS, Ephramad value in TP set is much higher than +5/6 storeTP.

In general, if you never did it yet, i'd suggest anyone to run their own simulations to figure out such things. Take the lowest amount of SAM roll you're willing to take as a baseline for events, and start checking if adding extra STP in tp set beyond a certain point surpasses PDL+MA+Crit etc.for 2h DDs, You might end up surprised sometimes :p

WS frequency is a nice stat to follow, but it doesn't always automatically means highest dps, at least for 2h weapon jobs with relevant whitedmg from autoatks! In the same way, there might be situations where using Epaminondas actually reduces your dps compared to a decent alternative, when factoring in the StoreTP-10, in particular on WAR savage blade for example using Epa instead of Sroda Ring gave me overall lower dps (apart from STR mod, that -10storeTP is still an indirect dps loss which you just harely notice cause it gets applied AFTER your WS by reducing tp return from it, which means less tp over time, thus less dps.Not saying Epaminondas is always bad cause it'd be false, but sometimes it can be worth it to check the actual gain from a DPS perspective rather than just according to "quicklook WS" and "Quicklook TP" buttons :P

p.s. if you wanna know the ideal threshold for your WS, you can and should run simulations within Kastra to find that out easily! With Torcleaver holding TP without wasting them is still viable and not too far behind WSing at ideal thresholds

Are poor soul pretty cheap?
By Wotasu on 2026-03-13 01:37:48
You need a healthy mix of Bloodpact:DMG and Double Attack.
Can't just stack double attack, and you can't just go 100% bpd.
In general depending on gear merlinic hands with a total of +15bpd and Acc/ Atk is to strong to ignore.
And a 2nd pair with Bpd and pet:mab for Flaming Crush.

For Flaming Crush, a pair of Helios feet with Bpd and pet:mab would be a decent starter,
NQ apogee pumps are fine as well, they just don't activate the set bonus.

And yes beckoners earrings are worth it b4 Lugalbanda.
Don't forget they also give Avatar LV+1 which is a nice stat boost.
There is a calculator made by Pergatory linked at the bottom of the guide if you want to test things out.

I’ve largely only played Sam and Whm in my entire years of playing ffxi. My advice to the LS is usually pick a DD role, support / mage role and then a tank / fun role (I picked NIN after SE gave away REMAs and I got a dark blade)

Can I check which KIs I have in sortie without entering?

KIs? If you mean temp items like Key/Plate/Shards/Fragments, you can check with the Goblin in Leafallia. He'll tell you.

Interesting those 16h challenge, to see from the perspective of someone with some milleage in game development.

From a newby, maybe the first thought is how you are basically writing everything from the scratch.

The reality though is that there is a lot of assets and plugins to cut a lot of slack.

Looking how he made it transparent dealing with very complex stuff like camera, 3D animation or time consuming stuff like assets, it is understandable as feasible a 16h challenge. But it is still quite a feat having a base with a lot of potential (IMO).

In other worlds, for someone who would be inspiring in trying the indie game universe, this is an inspiring video, even if it doesnt teach a whole lot of things. But gives you some insights of Godots potential.

My understanding is that members of the community have expressed interest in helping provide or improve the service and have been met with either resistance or no response from the BG team, such as it is. If those who run the site are unwilling to allow new members to replace the ones who lose interest, there isn't much we can do about it.

Man that sucks to hear about Crimson Desert. I wasn't necessarily hyped for it, but figured I'd snag it on a sale. But yeah, those are some deal breakers.

Crimson desert is cooked too, went from moderate anticipation to DoA:
PS version needs internet connectivity to run
PC version snuck in Denuvo a week before release

Could be because its too new. I have issues on my non-focused screens in certain areas on my 4090, issues I didnt have on my 1080. Literally the only difference was swapping video card, and i can load the 6 chars on my vastly inferior mediabox and theyll run fine in these problematic areas.

Not sure how to explain it, but thems the breaks of playing a 25 year old game on modern hardware.

Anyways, another game for “the modern audience” flopped.
When I came back to XI I too noticed certain areas just don't play nice. First I was on an AMD 6900XT and now I have a 7900XT and same issues. What's real odd is for instance in Port Sandy near the gob box I crawl getting minimal FPS and I get a whine from my PSU. No other game does this as far as I can tell.

Regarding the modern game, I'm assuming Marathon?
By Draylo on 2026-03-12 15:25:01
Did you fix it?
By Rairin on 2026-03-12 15:22:28
You really have some weird takes.

It's an automated task, or should be. If it's still considerable work, steps could be taken to fully automate it. At that point, since it's just running a script, you're not going to run out of people willing to log in once and run one process.
By . on 2026-03-12 15:18:31
I had gotten a new laptop and regret it. Some reason 6 instances of XI cause it to go insane, and i cant figure out why so I left it and just use my PC. It was over 3k too, and it still does it with other games. Laptops suck now

"Leave him to do it" would just keep all of the burden on one person, so I was asking if there's a way to lighten the load, whatever shape that took. The whole point of a wiki is to crowdsource information and labor.

One person that likes to do it, and feels a responsibility to do it will ensure it keeps being done. 5 people who can do it usually leads to nobody doing it long-term.

There is a lot of this in the community, and it's not a good idea to mess with it. Funk does that, let him do it.

Appreciate the help here all of you! Thanks!
By Izaniki on 2026-03-12 14:36:49
Oh yeah, I wasn't suggesting doing it manually myself or anything. I was just hoping there was a quick way to do it to help out. If it's something that could have a tool made to automate the process, it would be much easier on everyone currently involved (if they don't have one).

Funk does that stuff, leave him to do it and if he is busy he will do it the next day.

The issue is never the ability to do things, it's easy for other people to learn to do things. The problem is they will get tired of it in a month or two, and if you annoy the person that does it regular and has a habit built upon doing it there will end up being nobody that does it at all 6 months from now.

Getting Empyrean gear is a great starting point. Unlock mpaca and Nyame gear if you can too. Most starter groups can do ABCD if they follow the strategies listed on this site. Even killing the mini NMs will produce a reasonable amount of galli, and you can respawn them frequently if you've finished the easy bosses and run out of things to do.

Yeah I changed furnishing

I dont see any reference to packet 0x0C in craft's lua though. I also dont see 0x0C referenced in battlemod either. I can mess with it my next batch though and see if I can get anything out of it (or break the game)
By MurielliAsura on 2026-03-12 13:32:12
Its a very good start! I dont play SAM anymore, but there are surely some workarounds gear you can use while getting empy +2 and +3. Im sure you ll find a starting group or 6 bosses pretty soon.

Try to unlock teleports on your own first.

I would also try to understand bosses from videos and reading bgwiki.

Upstairs bosses ABCD. 2K gallis for kill.
Downstairs bosees EFGH. 10K gallis for kill.

Downstairs are way harder and need planning. Cant just rush in do whatever WS you like.
