Unless you're a pro athlete, or "know a guy" type thing. My buddy *** up his back, first appt is always going to be treated as "Sore back, eh pill chaser mcgee?" and never taken seriously. Made a 2nd appt, got a referral for MRI, the wait time is approx 4-6 forevers after you die. However, it messed with his baseball season. Baseball coach happened to be an ex Oiler who is now in sports medicine and was like "Here, call this guy. It'll be done after hours, but you'll get in." Within a week he was being scheduled for surgery for 3 herniated discs.

I know it won't work on cockatrice (maybe some other earth based mobs?), but it does work on most mob types reliably for ~30s (I think?) and we do see the "wears off" message (both from hitting it and from timer), but if you don't want to put a bunch of spaghetti in there for semi-reliable tracking I understand (that's sincere not snarky btw - since I'm sure it can be taken as either)

Crazy, like 10 minutes from me is a walk-in place that does Xrays, ultrasounds etc. Obviously for an MRI you'd need a referral, but rest of it can be walk-in. My dad was there this morning getting the last xray done on his shoulder that he broke about a year ago and said it was pretty quiet.

As I understand Canadian health care you can have it free if you wait or pay if you want it sooner.

While it may suck, American health care is you pay an insurance company to tell you that your aren't covered, which sucks worse.
