A major investor in Final Fantasy maker Square Enix has published a 100-page document criticizing the company's performance and calling for a "fundamental reassessment" of its business, citing perceived "sluggish" revenue and profits.
In a press statement, 3D Investment Partners — Square Enix's third-largest investor, holding around a 14% stake — claims there has been a "significant deterioration in earning power" despite the company owning some of the world's biggest franchises and being a "preeminent Japanese game developer." ...
Now the quartet is infriltrating Limbo to do the only thing dogs that lost their home planet can do, and that is: revenge!
All dogs, with or without a home planet, would still pee, poo, and bark. Is that part of the revenge scenario? How about pushing garbage bins over and rooting through the contents?
I never played Tíbia, but I suppose it is an old MMORPG.
Apparently it is possible to run private server of it. Someone can buy a "base" game, customize it and make it public for other players to join.
Each private server is its own universe, own economy, own rules.
The story was about a veteran player (that I will call Whale) of Tibia with a lot of money to burn. That person found a supposed programmer (that I will call Con) that had a base game. By associating with him, he had the base material and work force to customize and run the private server.
Turns out that Con was a con artist.
The base he had was beyond repair. And he himself knew nothing about programming.
Still, he managed to convince the Whale to buy a new base. And hire 3 real programmers to customize it.
Things were going relatively well till the were not. The Whale delgeated too much power to Con. And Con managed to sneak SUS customzations on the PS. Mainly, he learned how to fabricate Tibia coins.
Tibia coins are exactly this, coins, but normally its generation is very restricted to keep the server economy healthy. Some PS can legally sell Tibia coins to generate income to the host, but in this situation, the Con could sell as much coins he wanted, earn a lot of money and never tell the Whale, that was blind to anything. He was just living his life and playing like a normal player.
Eventually ***hit the fan and the Whale discover about the scam, change the database password to stop the Tibia coin generation and fire the Con. The Con had earn over $30k with this
Without any asser, any programming knowledge, only the luck of having a partner that was too lenient with him.
In the end, what impressed me was how this Tibia server stuff managed to involve so much real cash. Mostly due to playerbase that still play the game.
The degree of customization was also incredibly to me. Imagine hosting a server where you are the God of it, controlling the people, the money.

Deat, we are talking about multiverse dogs.
All dogs there are warrior, know how to use heavy weaponry and are muscular like me
Now I just need the hardest part, that is mastery in a viable technology.
You have my 5090...
Actually, you all do - Kinda tired of just making boobs and cheeks - I have access to a great ai suite locally - if anyone needs something silly done, let me know
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
