Stupid ESRB Thingy

Apparently it's not on the Xbox version since I haven't seen it yet. Either that or I haven't been paying attention when I first log in.

Thank goodness those honest ESRB people rated this game TEEN, I don't know what I would do if some pre-teen was playing, or saw someone playing this game and there was animated blood. My moral and ethical house of cards might've collapsed.

I thought the same thing. A purple mist that only occurs on critical hits no less. Although I suppose blood in halo was purple too (for the aliens) but really, purple mist with rings around it is a pretty lame excuse of blood.

That statement would ring true if the fact I haven't encountered 6-12 year olds in this game. (Some of them more intelligent and more mature than most 20 year olds.)

I thought online interactions were not rated by the esrb?

They're not, but either POL is glitching (as usual) or some mom threw a bitchfit when they saw purple mist or someone throwing an f-bomb on the screen, thus forcing SE to make what we already know more obvious.

You can't regulate or stamp a rating on free will to type or act. The rating is based on the game's content alone.

It really does seem strange, especially since I can't recall seeing blood whatsoever and it's on the list of warnings? O.o

amazing how much ou can get away with on tv, parents should watch the cartoon network more. i swear half the writers of todays cartoons are on serious drugs

Supposedly this is what the "blood" is and only comes from. I'm not convinced purple mist with red rings = blood though.

That's exactly why I posted that screenshot. It's not really blood & guts gory, but I guess the red splatters of blood (from the purple haze) makes it slightly more harsh. Idk, you be the judge, lol.

To me it's not much different from a five year old splashing purple paint on a canvas and calling it blood.

It's soooooooo annoying, wish they didn't add it.

It's bad enough that we get that stupid letter pop up warning us about phishing scammers or whatever, and now they drop this ESRB warning on us. Not only is it x-box huge, but ... well, yeah, it's that. Couldn't they have just placed it on the bottom right somewhere... in the background somewhere?

"Hey, this game has blood!"
"There's a esrb rating, ma'am. Please take note of it."
"WHERE?!"
"On the bottom left hand corner of the screen right before you log in to the actual game."
"And I'm supposed to see that why?"
"Because it's there, ma'am."

It's called fine print and it's evident in every facet of our lives. Get with the program.

Maybe i missed it but DID SE release a post about it? As to WHY its there?

Until my asuran fists literally makes the mob explode, we don't need an ESRB warning.
