Well yeah that's the torture. But really if that was the real worry they could just infect you thru a needle randomly. Or give you something worse that leaves you alive at least until the year was over. Wouldn't assume rape=aids.

As far as the anything goes technically torture is just lots of pain so permanent disabling seems a little unfair. Then you might start getting into what being alive really means as they take a little of your body at a time and hook you up to machines and such

The thing that'd make me want to choose death would be knowing that whatever or whoever captured me and forced me to make this decision the first time would be just as likely to do it again.
