Avoid This Server At All Costs

The Ragnarök server as you all may know is avoided by many players.

Why you may ask?

Upon stepping into this server you will notice everyone is followed around by a whole army of bots. Sure, that's okay if you want to clear content until you speak to one of these people. Ragnarok server players all for some reason seem to share the same personality. They are incredibly anti-social and act like know-it-alls. They act superior while regurgitating all the info they read online. There is no originality or thought process inside any of them.

They seem to speak the same way, and even share the same insults. It goes even further in their ignorance of the game where they cannot grasp basic mechanics of nuances of jobs outside of BLU and SAM. This is the server that will crap-talk you for playing PUP while you ***on their DPS solo w/ trusts against their bot army.

You begin to wonder.... why does everyone act like a copy-paste AI version of BG, FFXIAH, and Reddit? Upon further investigation, you notice that the server trolls congregate into one location. The Leafkin LS and Ejiin's Twitch stream, to be exact. You spend about 20 minutes in his stream, and you realize why all of these people bot all day, play the same 3 jobs, and crap talk anything their pea-brained, unemployed, high-school-educated streamer can't understand.

This community has ruined ragnarok and turned it into the most anti-social server. So, when you notice that everyone avoids Ragnarok and it ends up never being locked due to a population increase, that's probably why.

You literally cannot be friends with any of these losers because they think that acting normal is being some elitist *** in a 20-year-old game in maintenance mode.

AVOID THIS SERVER AT ALL COSTS

Feel free to come to Ragnarok to buy my Kraken Club (Listed at current market rate!), but then also feel free to not stay here afterwards. :P

Kraken Club value has fallen off worse than Jaylen Brown's trade value. I haven't used mine in maybe 6 months. Got it for less than half of what Asura sells it for, but can't be bothered to list and sell it because it will mean I never change to Beastmaster ever again (that's actually not a bad thing). I don't even know which jobs still get great use out of it anymore. DRG = Prime, my Bard sometimes uses it for self SC, but I'm not sure it's still holding onto the inflated value it ballooned up to in recent years.

Lakshmi is such a horrible server, please stay away too. Definitely the worst. You all suck. Stay the *** away.

Lakshmi was a ghost town over a decade ago when I was there. It was Byrth, his mule, Stepth, myself, and like 5 other people. It's probably an exhibit in a museum at this point, with paid admission to come in and peruse the gallery of untouched relics.

@ OP how would you feel with we Merged Rag with other servers?

You guys dunk on small servers too much.

All the lowest 10 population servers have more or less same amount of players.

The way SE is going, the top 10 highest population servers are going to be pretty close by the end of it.

Meaning you have a choice - shithole full of players with a stocked AH, or tiny half empty server where you can actually farm and grind in somewhat peace.

Lakshmi has 700 more active characters than the smallest server, btw, according to XIAH.

That's how it works pick your poison.

You want an AH or you want open camps. Pros and cons to both.

Tbh, as someone who's on one of the bottom 3 servers, I'd pick this option in a heartbeat.

Between most ls being social (barely even that... lol) with barely any endgame being done to the AH being barren for most things, it's gotten incredibly difficult to do things or even make gil outside sparks.
For example, take Alabaster parts. Look at them on Sylph, not a single one of any part has sold since May 24th. Now change it to other servers and look at how every single other server, even the two below Sylph (as of right now on XIAH), have had sales up until this week, on most parts with an occasional single part that hasn't sold in a few weeks. It's not even a "no one is buying limbus stuff anymore" because it's strictly Sylph where they're just not selling while every other server still is...
That's not even the only items that aren't selling anymore. It's bad. I've basically been just using the AH as extra storage lately because things just go up there to rot.

Sure, it's nice being able to freely grind, but it might as well be a single player game here. Last night around prime time, there was roughly 380-400 people on (jumps to 450-480 on weekends) but if I'm being brutally honest, it's very likely to not even be 80 real people once you remove the bots and alts.
I play one character so I don't have an army to plow through everything and I've tried to get people for ody, sortie, limbus etc and it's usually met with silence or the one static in my ls who already did it. I can't even work on campaign ops for Mastery Rank because the nations only have their cities and nothing else, which is something I haven't seen since 2009...

A friend was talking to a JP group here the other day and was told "Sylph wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for us". Usually I'd assume that's just JP being JP, but seeing the things I've seen here, I can honestly 100% believe it.
