maybe you got your clears when MMM was new and people were using it for quick SMN SP1 burn parties? Uuuh...
No, but you reminded me I levelled NIN and DNC up to level 75 through MMM, with a group of friends (they were creating everything, I was just joining and killing stuff).
I seriously doubt we did ~100 runs of that though.
(I did a few SMN Astral Burn pts but those were in Korroloka Tunnel though, not in MMM) yep, Korroloka 10~30?, then MMM for one last hurrah before Astral Flow just doesn't cut it anymore.

For the "Level Sync" I & II RoEs I was wondering, would it work in an alliance?
Pt1 syncs to 98 or under, Pt2 even a single member would work (don't get sync on second party), slaughtering 200mobs in an Escha zone or whatever.
Would it work? Has anybody tried?

You can do it as an alliance, yeah
Specifically, you have to be sync'd, but the killers don't need to be.
Example, you can a bst/blue/etc and cleave for 12 level sunk level 10s and it counts for the 12 that are synced, not the bst/blu/etc

Rank 9! Ran into Sandworm randomly a couple days ago and ended up camping it to see if I could finally get a Lambton Worm after maybe a dozen Doomvoids.
I think the notable things are no shield, only 2 Master Trials done, no ML 50 jobs (and only 324 total master levels).

Anyone have any info about getting the title 'Sandworm Wrangler'? BGwiki says "Killing Sandworm without allowing Doomvoid to occur" which doesn't necessarily imply it has to use it and be stunned. FFXIclopedia specifically says Doomvoid has to be stunned to get it. Some friends tried today and I stunned every move it did from 40 to 25% but Doomvoid seemed so fast that I would had to be casting stun before he even started it. So my question is: Does it need to be stunned for the title or can you just kill the Sandworm before he even tries to use it and get the title?

You don't have to stun, I got it just by killing. That advice is probably from times when you couldn't just kill it with a single WS.

You're actually more likely to accidentally kill it than get Doomvoided these days. Hell, at least twice I sat there waiting for like 10 minutes trying to get him to use it and he refused until he died to autos lol. Do note that killing him in this way causes it to go on an extended respawn time (like 72-96+ hours instead of 20+) so if you still want to get sucked in, try to do that first.

Since I've been on this MR quest thing I started reading past pages to see what people found out etc. When I read previous pages I did find out that there is the 1000 title for Coastal Net in the mog gardens, which they said would take 3 years. Which got me to start doing it daily as i'm only at 300. This led to another question :
Is there a shorthand list or any equivalent of long time gated things such as the mog garden that should be/recommended daily?
If it's been answered before, I haven't gotten that far back yet so my bad. I'd rather start getting it into my daily routine if i'm MR hunting now.

Agrarian Tutelar (1000 harvest of the field)
Jungle Praetor (1000 grove harvests)
Adamanttock (mine 1000 ore veins)
Transcendental Tamer
Established Examiner
but these ones take huge time :
Mog Gardener (1000 days of visiting the Mog Garden)
Monke-Onke Master (1000 times of raising the fishing net of the pond)
Leviauthority (1000 times of pulling up the fishing net of the sea/Coast)

Since I've been on this MR quest thing I started reading past pages to see what people found out etc. When I read previous pages I did find out that there is the 1000 title for Coastal Net in the mog gardens, which they said would take 3 years. Which got me to start doing it daily as i'm only at 300. This led to another question :
Is there a shorthand list or any equivalent of long time gated things such as the mog garden that should be/recommended daily?
If it's been answered before, I haven't gotten that far back yet so my bad. I'd rather start getting it into my daily routine if i'm MR hunting now.
My node has them kinda listed by the amount of pain in the *** they are to get.

and i would also add permanent KI from craft
these ones which cost 40,000 Guild Points (like Cloth Ensorcellment)
you can only trade 1 guild per day so it take time to get all
(i don't know if raising permanent KI count is good for mastery rank...)

Just to clarify, was it actually a Stronghold Invasion, or was it one of the Campaign Ops that uses the same BC (e.g. Cracking Shells)?

I ranked up after zoning after catching 2 new fish (brass loach and gavial fish). Did not complete any fishing ROEs or gain any fishing skill in that trip, so it seems catching the fish itself does count.
I'll probably do the AF quests again (ugh) and reset them again for more testing. Does anyone have any requests?

Low-effort validations would be:
* Meebles Goal 3 the last one
* Magical maps (you're missing two)
* MMM Vouchers (runes have already been confirmed)
* Proto-waypoint (last one)
* Monstrosity Levels (Try to level up without unlocking species / earning instincts, see if you rank up, then buy a species or instinct and see if you rank up)
* Craft skill - should be able to rank you up but no one has unambiguously demonstrated it
I bet Meebles goal 3 does not rank you up and the rest of the things do rank you up.

I ranked up yesterday from MR7 to MR8 off clearing a MMM. It was clear no.30 (so no title), and i obtained no runes or other things tracked for MMM whilst inside. It was also a part of MMM I had already done before and a NM i had killed before.

As an extra, I tried to keep track of everything i did after I hit rank 7. My rank from 6 -> 7 Was Golden Shovel Cordon.
The Majority of this is from memory tho, So i might be missing a few things. I'm willing to bet there's nothing too useful here, but it might help some people with what goes in from hopping from 7->8.
Every Bastok Mission and all Conquest titles.
All Windurst Conquest titles.
150+ RoE Objectives
30-40 Quests within each nation, especially those that rewarded titles.
Many Outland quests, especially those title tied as well (Opo Opo crown too).
Medal of Altana obtained,
50+ Campaign ops, including 2/3 Fiat lux titles.
The entirety of Bastok S quest line. (Completing all 3 Nations)

After resetting my Cor AF quests again, I did not de-rank. So either that 74th/75th fish were worth more than the others or something not tracked by the checklist is boosting my mastery rank. Perhaps even though I didn't set/collect the Reel in # Different Catches ROEs, they still counted as being complete.
Other stuff I did today:
1x first place C3 chocobo race (did not gain any titles)
chocobo chick grew to adolescence
2x ambuscade
1x temenos climb
1x sheol C seg farm (no moogle mastery increase)

Just ding MR8, what dinged it was fishing to 75 (went for forêt de hennetiel as I was missing all 6 fish there), that dinged the RoE as well but couldn’t claimed it as inventory was full. Anyway, second time I dinged on fishing, so 6-7 and now 7-8.

Also ding shell shocker as a result, actually now that makes zero sense that title, didn’t do it but it show up. Don’t know why I have picture just can’t post it here, not making another account

Not much to contribute, but I've been locked at MR 6 for years and years. Have capped crafts, REMA out the wazoo, including both ergon. Every job capped, enormous amounts of quests, etc. Here's obvious stuff lacking...
All missions in the game complete EXCEPT I never changed nations...that means bastok and Sandy missions not even started. Hard cap here?
Never once have I done MMM or Choc Digging, nor have I ever killed the Quadav leader (got the other 2).
Maybe this has already been solved, but I'll be doing the nation missions now. Ill let you know if things move.
Probably old intel, but yeah just odd such a thorough character still held at 6.

For anyone that wants to share where they are with Mastery Rank and there stats on quest/missions/roe and so forth. Rank can be found in menu under Status>Profile.
Any data helps, but more data for people at rank 6 can help us find possible base requirements. Stats from other ranks also can find baselines for those as well. Obviously stats from people if they notice when they rank up will be extra useful.
Square Enix said: Mastery Rank is a numerical value representative your completion of missions, quest, and various other types on in-game content. The higher the rank, the more you have completed. Source
The "other types of in-game content" might be hardest to figure out. Apparently at the moment Rank 6 is the cap?

Zilart/CoP main missions + epilogues completed
ToA/WotG/SoA/RoV main missions completed
No Addons done
451 ROE completed
Max Fame in Bastok, Windy, Sandy, Norg, Jeuno and corresponding linked areas
Relic/Empyrean/Aeonic completed, no mythics
