Bit of a random question, but I’ve been playing on Steam Deck more often than not lately and both Limbus zones are abysmally laggy for me, to the extent that Gearswap fails to work (e.g. leaves me in WS sets or midcast sets, etc). I’ve tried Packetflow and changing the clipping plan setting in game to no avail. I’ve also had this issue playing both with a Lumoria prefix currently and with a Lutris prefix in the past before Temenos was made shorter. Has anyone else who’s encountered this problem found a solution?

I took my chars to Temenos to look at how much the bar grows per kill. I only did one kill for everything less than a party of 6, so the percentages may have not-visible decimals
North
2 chars = 23%
3 chars = 22~23% - the 2 chars went from 23 to 46, but the 3rd char added only went up 22)
4 chars = 21%
5 chars = 20%
6 chars = 18~19% - Char 3 gained 19 going from 63 to 82, Char 4 gained 19 going from 41 to 60, char 5 and char 6 gained 18, chars 1 and 2 filled bar). The next kill Char 4 gained 18 (60 to 78), Chars 5 and 6 gained 19 (38 to 57, 18 to 37). Its likely 18.5%

Central
2 chars = 15
3 chars = 15 (again)
4 chars = 14~15% - Char 1 and 2 went from 30 to 45, Char 3 went from 15 to 29, Char 4 got 14
5 chars = 13%
6 chars = 12.5% (I know this from existing data)

Reading these %, seeing that going from 5 to 4 or less characters the % per kill increased 1-2% might enough to offset that tiny sliver that existed after the 7th kill with a 5man party in the new Central and also now knowing that trusts are part of the calculation, got me curious. So the last 2 days while doing my climbs did some test of 1-6 character party size to find where the breaks are for kills needed/data acquisition.

Temenos - North/West/East Towers - 4 floors
1 character: 4 kills
2-5 characters: 5 kills
6 characters: 6 kills

Temenos - Central - 3 floors
1 character: 6 kills
2-3 characters: 7 kills
4-6 characters: 8 kills

Apollyon - NW and NE - 5 floors
1 character: 4 kills
2-5 characters: 5 kills
6 characters: 6 kills

Apollyon - SW and SE - 4 floors
1 character: 5 kills
2-4 characters: 6 kills
5-6 characters: 7 kills

As a 2box always using 3 trusts I found out bringing a friend in apollyon would add an extra kill in NW and NE going from 5 kills to 6, but it didn't change any of the other towers until the temenos change. Also never would have expected that trusts counted in the calculation.

Very interesting that a true solo does decrease the kills further.

For any lowman groups or multiboxer with less than 6 that are calling trusts just to fill the empty slots, you might be able to save some time with fewer required kills by dropping a trust or two. To me it looks like the ideal party size is 4 characters if it's manageable.

In hindsight I wish I tested this so much sooner, knowing now that old central could have been 6 kills instead of 7 by dropping a trust. But also I really want to know what a 1 character solo in NWE towers was, could it have gone as low as 3 kills??

I like seeing numbers like this, because it reminds me of how unbelievably far away I am, so there is no reason to stress. I hit cap of 232k last night and thought I did something, and only had enough points to take me to like R20 of a single piece.

Awesome! You should post in the DRG thread or make a YouTube video of how the set works together vs usual emp / af / relic tp / ws pieces.

I'm working on upgrades now and I'm hoping the grind is worth it.

Guydon, or something like Arrabiata/Carbonara for STP. Daifuku is always a safe option.

Green Festival is now, can get Popoto Gratins for cheap.

Popoto gratin only lasts 5 minutes. Imagine all the time you lose eating when you could be killing!

75% of Limbus is running, warping, and using job abilities. You waste the majority of your food just moving between camps. Just pop a Gratin on every second or third floor. It's not taking away any of your time and it's cheap.

Heavy Attack foods (Meat Dishes) last for like 4 hours and HQ for 8 hours when eattin in Escha zones. Take a moment to eat there and not think about food for the rest of the evening.

edit: more focused on the idea of limbus food in general than responding to the food question above.

re: food
I was just thinking yeah 150 attack is nice but its the difference in 9200 or 9300, maybe somethiung like Gyudon/STP food would actually be a little more well purposed for the content.

1,140,000!!

Acc + gear = 6 gears x 31= 186 of 1 matter type minimum
(1.140.000-30.000)/3.000 (the raising cap, not the bonus 3/5k)=370 runs
186/360=0.517?!?

So about 50% rate avg ?!?

prob has alabaster earring and murky ring at 30, also probably got a ton of unique data boxes. if you get in a good DPS alliance on asura you can fill the bar 3x, and your competing against probably 50 other chars. Smaller server who knows how much you could fill the bar if there was only 18 people fighting.

All told I've farmed 189 Alabaster Matter and 208 Murky Matter. So, yea, we're hovering right around 50% on Alabaster and 56% on Murky. Brutal.

I solo Limbus lv 119 since a while. I do all the ??? and 5/5 chests every week in each zone. I once had a bad week with only 1 matter of each but usually i get 3-4 (5 once) in each zone. I got 12 sets of matter now and below 2k RP in both zones. To get 2 Ranks up now I got to be lucky and have to farm just for the RP for 2-3 weeks, wich means I have probably about 20 sets of matter by then. If I start another piece or pieces, I wont finish anything in months and make the problem worse.

Why does nobody do RP farm partys? Isnt this a common issue?

One of the best things you can do as a soloer in Limbus is set your level to 123 / 124 / 125 instead of 119. Enemies are not significantly harder but you get nearly double the points for each floor.

In Temenos, at 119 you get 60 points per floor. At 123 you would be getting 100 per floor and at 125 you would be getting 120 per floor. The enemies are barely harder and only have a bit more HP. Unless you are grinding purely for matters or are already capped on points then 119 isn't the way to go.

My lifetime rate on my main is about 33% on non-5k chests, counting from the point where I began to rotate towers. Unfortunately I can't easily sum the number of runs I have brought mules for since I recorded the data in an inconvenient way. My recent history of matter (beginning of July) is closer to 20% on murky and 25% on alabaster so that's super painful.
