DNC New Bis's?

Y'all's spread sheets and numbers still consider dw. I dropped dw on cor and brd and dps is much better. So just because you can math who says ur mathing from the right place.

1) DRG doesn't need to cap equipment haste because (with wyvern out) they already have massive JA haste.
2) Xhit is not a thing. Even if you are getting exactly 1000 TP with 4 hits, more stp still gives more WSD. It's ESPECIALLY not a thing for DNC.
3) People don't "cry" because they "carry purses", you're just an ***. People don't like ***. Sorry if it took you 30 years to realize this. Try having tact or learning how to speak like an adult.
4) Nobody is impressed by your ability to guess which gear is better.
5) If you "tested your gear" on your own, you'd have numbers to explain your results. Eyeballing for a few minutes in uncontrolled conditions isn't testing.

Capping delay reduction is the number one biggest dps increase there is. If you have evidence otherwise, please share it.

I don't know if you'll remember, but we both "grew up" in CoffeeGrindr years ago helping each other learn the game and how to make a basic gearswap. I look back with good memories of those times and am not attacking you personally, but the fact remains that making claims such as this are going to get a lot of backlash without some mathematical proof.

You are quite correct in one regard, one can easily math from the wrong place and draw conclusions that are not true. Thankfully this game is attractive to a lot of really smart math nerds, or we'd be in a real bad spot with how little SE tells us about how things work.

Just a minor correction -- DRG requires Hasso and the Pet to cap haste w/o needing to cap gear haste. With just the pet (sub war) you still need capped gear haste.

I'm assuming the person is talking about Lehko's though and that ring is secretly cracked. Kastra's SIM has it above cornelias and Ephramad in most situations for like most jobs that I could run. It of course ignores a lot of JA's and SC's which probably brings the other two rings closer in line.

Stating an opinion on a forum does not NEED anything to back it welcome to the internet. I just respond to something I see u can agree disagree or dnt read it? Doesn't change the fact it's what I have learned in my experience and just sharing that experience. You should probably refresh yourself on this page, though since you don't understand DW I would understand why you wouldn't understand DRG/SAM with a polearm.

Magic haste +43.75%
JA haste +20%
Equip haste +17%

43.75+20+17 = 80%. You cannot go past 80% delay reduction, so any equipment haste over 17% on DRG/SAM with Hasso & a wyvern is absolutely and totally useless.

This is why your assertion that DRG is haste starved is ridiculous. Unless you have no subjob, your pet is dead, or you are wielding a single weapon, you do not need equipment haste cap on DRG. It's one of the worst jobs for a haste ring, except for DRG/WAR or DRG/NIN shenanigans.

Assuming u would be using /Sam not sure why u would these days. Well with the new prime but I have not made it yet but have seen it in action very sxy. But let's not forget naegling is still king and /war is better thus u needing equip haste which def is starved of making the ring a viable option for tp set but a big oversight on wsd this we are back where we started now wasn't that fun.

The fact ur pushing /Sam for drg shows ur experience in the game on the job today. Again sad u have to live through numbers come back and play with us have a great ls on asura when u decide to resub.

I know you wasn't responding to me directly, but just wanted to add that numbers in my post were based on Izanami's sim and time to WS isn't always the definitive metric of best TP set for DPS, but on DNC with Mpu Gandering it almost is. With Twashtar it's easier to gain some overall DPS by getting some significant white damage and losing some tp time to WS, but it's much harder with Mpu.

That kind of clarification is what I was trying to recommend. It would be helpful to include with the set itself when posted to the wiki to help avoid confusion.

I've come to the same conclusion. Just because Lehko's doesn't say "wsd" on it doesn't mean it doesn't raise weaponskill numbers. It does! On any job that utilizes a weaponskill that scales damage heavily on TP (literally anyone who's using a prime weapon) which in dancer's case means both rudra's storm and ruthless stroke Lehko's raises weaponskill damage by accelerating the rate you gain tp. It's the same reason as when Maletaru said this


And that's on top of providing 10% crit rate, which is a reasonable amount of white damage boost on top of it. It's also the best ring for crit weaponskills. Evisceration, jishnu's, and victory smite may not be taking center stage as much as they were in moons past, but they're still good weaponskills that do see use. All three choices are great. Lehko's ring is absolutely in the same tier as ephramad's and cornelias.

It's not that lehko's is not great, it's that it is difficult to drop either cornelia's or ephremad's for it.

Whatever bonus lehko's gives to WS, it's not more than either 10WSD or a 10% increase in PDL with high buffs. Especially for dagger where the attack cap is lower.

It's just not a great ring for dps jobs in general u can accept it or dnt but it's true. Unless ur trying to come up with some niche build that u will never use. U opt for gletis over malig like ur crit white dmg is just so brokenly strong on DNC that it's worth the stp hit. Then u give up a strong ws ring for 4 more stp make it make sense. Malig hands and chirich +1 Puts u at the same stp value and u get to pick a new ring. U seriously just think that crit for ur white dmg is what's gonna make ur DNC strong? Because that's what it looks like ur gearing for in your tp set u postrd as a DNC bis s crit not tp gain at least from how it looks. And if that's the case then yes the ring is amazing keep them crits coming but finish it off and make it a crit set because stuck in the middle is just slowing ur DNC down.
