I was pumped when I first checked Oboro right after update and seemed to reflect no separate Ergon path, but the reason "Ancient" (Ergon) wasn't showing up for my AG Epeolatry is that I'm lazy and not yet Master RUN... How does Ancient = Ergon / Balrahn = Mythic work? Do you need to kill the boss or get 10k jp twice?
I am not sure if we are positive yet if the 10k JP opens up the entire category (like all aeonic, all relic etc.), or just a specific weapon that you will choose.
No boss killing needed if you are doing JP. But it does appear that mythic and ergon are separate categories and you will need to unlock each one with separate JP spends. Its pretty clear when you submit points that you are submitting to 1 category.
so YES, it takes 10k jp to unlock mythic upgrages It takes 10k jp to unlock Aeonic upgrades etc. 10k for each category. They are separate categories. I agree it looks like that now. But can we be 100% certain that after you finish your 10k from, say relic, it won't say "ok which relic do you want to upgrade?"

Oboro doesn't ask you what weapon you want to upgrade when he takes your JP, he only asks category. I could have split the 700 jp I submitted between Aeonic and Mythic, but I put it all in Mythic. Its not that murky. the Dev's said over and over in that video how the UNLOCK would work and how the ugprades will work. 2 Paths to Unlock 1 is Divergence Other is JP only AFTER you unlock do you worry about upgrading actual weapon. you trade items just like Eschalixiers those upgraded items will drop from Divergence OR Omen. I'm guessing the divergence drops will be greater quality. >>> faster upgrade. Yeah I just figured this out as well. Seems you get the choice of a wave 3 clear OR the 10k objective to unlock the type (R, M, E or A). So it's either 40k JP for all types or clearing Dyna-D. Guess you could go the 10k way for weapons you don't care about too much (like for me it's my aeonic dagger, it can wait), but you'd want to do Dyna for the rest. I was hoping not to have to find a regular dynamis group as I can probably only find time to do it .. maybe once a week? SE making this tough for the more casual players, can't expect us to go farm up 40k JP. They really needed to lower wait times to enter Dyna-D with this update.
Man, *** all that 10,000 Job points ***. Every player looking to complete these weapons need to be attempting 2 dynamis runs/week and trying to (at least) damage the wave 3 boss. Even if you don't kill it and only deal a small amount of damage to it, that's going to be significantly faster than dumping 700/wk into a 10,000 JP cost system. Only one I can see people having issue with is Halphas because of mechanics.
To see the upgrade options for the REMA, is it as simple as someone who has cleared the correct Dynamis Wave 3 boss and has the job mastered and weapon AG'd to head to gobbie and show some screenshots?
