»We don't need to be reminded how little you know about climate change.
I know so much more than you do.
I mean you still think it isn't a scam.
Even if you don’t believe in climate change,
you do believe that we should take good care of the earth for future generations right? Each country working on lowering pollution and waste entering the environment/oceans etc?
Co2 is not pollution. And it isnt a significant driver of temperature either. All you have to do is look at Venus and Mars to reach hat conclusion.
Did you miss the point of the post? I’m talking about things making it harder for life to be sustained on earth, like waste building up in the environments.
Unrelated to how you feel about climate change.
Surprised you never answered this simple question Nausi. I’m not trying to railroad you into supporting climate change, I’m just finding common ground between us.
Waste is piling up out of control in our environments and we all need to make a change, unrelated to climate change ideas.
Earth goes through ice ages all the time, and all our plastic everywhere will eventually break down long before the sun explodes.
So the oceans will be clean again with or without us, we just need to think short term regarding the next few generations.
I'll take a stab at this. Look even here in the states. I live in NY it is LAW that I have to recycle. Like the trash company will not take my trash if I do not seperate it and they can report you and you are fined (never had it happen or heard of it but it's there). I have to pay a deposit of a nickle on all my soda/water/juice/beer containers, which I get back when I take them to a recycling center.
I travel all around the US for work so I will pick Mississippi as my example. They do not seperate ***, no deposit, no recycling bins (haven't been there in 2 years so if it's changed I do not know). Same way in Louisiana.
How the hell am I making some huge difference in NY when half the rest of the country does nothing. I would recycle anyways I guess but for every me that recycles theres 10 that do not.
As for the planet warming...we had in NY and most of NE, one of the coldest winters on record with record snowfall. We ended the year with 168" of snow (search Oswego County, NY). Now in your defense we are having a warmer summer this year so far but not by much. This last winter we went 3 weeks in NY without breaking 5F. It got to -20f at least 5 times.
