Not that I disagree with your statement, but weren't you claiming a few days ago that A/B segments are fine and need no boost?
Just from looking at SE's numbers through the charts on BG wiki, the segments earned per zone x zone x mob level are inconsistent.
A7 level 131 mobs net 17 segments per kill, but the same 131 mobs in C2 net 27 segments per kill. There are no 131 mobs in B, but it would net about 20 segments per kill (you're stuck with either 19 segments on B4 at level 130 or 21 segments on B5 at level 132). However, B4/5 azre the most inconvenient floors on the map (you can't warp to either, and have to run through a goddamn maze to get there), so getting there for a comparable level-to-segments ratio is terrible design. There are no real good starting camps on Sheol B to make Segment farming worth it. Maybe warp to B6 and clear that floor then run to 5 and touch goal, but that assume a new group all have the B6 translocator to warp. They might not.
On C1 (level 129), there are 6 mob groups, plus the NM and the halo. Just clearing the Nostos alone nets you 1500 points. The Halo will give like 450, and the NM like 250 or so. You also will get about 22 Izzat, which translates to about an extra 200 segments (assuming no box discounts in thatgroup). Even if a new group only clears C1 for the entire 30 minutes, they walk out with more segments than they would doing Sheol A and clearing like 4-5 floors. The map for Sheol C is also more straightforward than the other two, which makes darting to the goal way simpler.
This is why I said this several days ago:
The problem is A is incredibly easy and beginner friendly but nets nothing for points. B would be ideal but it's a fustercluck. The only zone designed properly with any straightforward intent is C, which conveniently nets the most points. It's no wonder every player would rather prefer C to A/B.
Recommending anyone do Sheol A or B for segments is a complete joke (do it for money/mm and get a miniscule amount of segments in the process like Byrth, yes). But even the numbers SE put out don't correlate to each other. At the very least, mob levels across zones should net the same exact amount of Segments, because why would a player fight a monster of the same strength in a lower zone for
less segments when that monster in C gives like 10 more points and it's just as strong?
