The question was, a group is ready and willing to do t3 at v10 or v15 but can't enter cause haven't cleared the lower tiers.

Does that group just sit on its *** waiting for someone to enter them, or spend a couple days clearing the easy lower tiers so they can enter themselves.

How does waiting for someone else to come along and do you a favour "save time". You save time by just *** doing it.

The only other person I saw shouting was Xoz for like V25 Mboze. But that was like a "KI1 BST BLU or SMN, KI2 WAR WHM OR PLD" kind of shout. It's incredibly difficult to find people to fill these kinds of jobs in a comp in an optimal way. It was the same 3+ years ago when I was looking for people to fill spots. The only effective method I ever found for clearing 20/25s was just putting the word out with others that you are forming a group/static that is looking to clear these, here are the job requirements we need, and just carve out some time to get it done. PUGing random people for V25s in 2KI fights almost never works, unless the player is someone really good and has good job overlap. Most players who fall in PUG category only have like WAR and COR, they're effectively useless for Gaol V25s.

If you can't find people to PUG V5s/10s, you probably could solo most of them with trusts, or lowman them. They're not really much of a challenge until like V15, and you can solo even some of the the T1s (I know I did back in the day).

If the alternative is not going, then yea. If the alternative is banking segments until the weekend when your buddy can get you in, then bank the segments.

I can totally see the argument that people will see it as a reason to never do lower clears without a boost, though. It's completely different if you have a connection who's willing to spend a few segments helping from if you're just hoping one will materialize.

I still think perception is the biggest thing stopping people from doing these. Anything that gets your group inside and fighting the monsters is going to help. If you're farming Sortie successfully, you can clear V20s successfully. It's a different thing to learn, that's all.

The thing about doing a V5-15 is not only convincing yourself to waste the time, but the 5 others

Where all the shouts die. Need a whm and tank to throw their segments away on a chance to lose a v15 is a nonstarter

It's a triple no. Play the worst job, on a sub optimal venge, with randoms. Absolutely not.

SE don't need to nerf Odyssey, just give player a RP reason to help for the low level clears.

IIRC you can do a V0-5-10-15 NM all with the exact same job layout and Strat. V20-25 enters the ‘need to tweak’. So I don’t see an excuse to skip V0-15 given it’s fairly easy to do in a go around. Even if you just each weekend did 1 NM from 0-15, you could get all Ody NM access in 17 weeks (4.25 months). People are more than willing to farm sortie daily over 6 months. Just add this into your rotation and you can be access V20 in 17 days.

Do this and you still would be farming one of the new “transition piece” bodies from Crystal. GG SE…

Don't forget noone wants to do atonement 2 NMs either. Especially not 5 and 10
