Ordelle's Caves results~
3x(3) Rune Halberd
6x(6) Rune Bow
72x(12) Rune Arrow
5x(5) Rune Bangles
152x(19) Cermet Chunk
22x(11) Adaman Nugget
3x(3) Arcane Flowerpot
JP wiki listed Rune Sword on this but I never received one. If Algol comes from this zone then it's super rare. I'll try a different zone next.

I really don't think there is a higher rate per item per zone.
It's what I originally asked about on the first page: which zone had the best dagger% etc.
I did ~100 Dangruf and got zero *item, only arrows pots and cermet

They definitely drop more frequently in specific zones. That's been reflected in both the data I collected in Wadi (20+ Rune Baghnakhs to 1 Rune Algol...) and in Ordelle's Caves (6 Rune Bows to 3 Rune Halberds). Both of those items match what was predicted on jp wiki. Rune Kris, Rune Algol, and Rune Scythe are all new. It is unclear what kind of distribution these new items have.

I only had 12 trades, so my pool is very limited, but here's what I got.
Gusgen Mines:
18x Rune Arrow (3)
10x Adaman Nugget (5)
16x Cermet Chunk (2)
1x Arcane Flowerpot (1)
1x Rune Scythe (1)
I'll try more later, but being on Sylph means no supply of cores outside of my own, so the results will be much smaller.

Gusgen is listed on the jp wiki for scythe on the left side, so maybe that's the high drop rate zone for that item?

Dangruf Wadi this time, because I want that damn algol.
2x adaman nuggets (1)
48x cermet chunks (6)
6x rune arrows (1)
1x Rune Bangles (1)
2x Rune Baghnakhs (2)
1x Arcane flowerpot (1)
EDIT: Done on Firesday for the fire apparatus, which BG states may have a negative effect on rarity. I sincerely doubt it, but just stating it for completion's sake.

I think for the new weapons it would be good to test other zones. I don't plan on going back to Wadi until I do. There is definitely a zone with a high drop rate for the old weapons (you already got 2 h2h in your small test.) I'm hoping that's the case for the new weapons as well and that SE didn't do something like add the new weapons to every zone with a low drop rate. We went 1/80~ for Wadi... so yeah.

Yeah, next will be one of the ones not listed on the JP wiki with confirmed drops. I was honestly just praying to get lucky and be able to get my raetic crafted while I tested on other spots.

Did some real quick raetic bangles testing before bed:
1) Magic dmg can be absorbed.
2) The absorb proc rate def isnt equal to mp drained. Drained 56 mp, got hit 56 times, absorb only proc 5 times. Proc rate is very low, but I need bigger sample size to confirm the detail when I have time.

Regarding Raetic Bangles, they're probably BiS for RUN resolution. So much STR

Disappointing but not unexpected. iirc other absorb gear made it see like there either was a rather low cap or just that pieces didn't stack

30 trades in Crawlers' Nest
Rune Kris x2 (2)
Rune Blade x1 (1)
Rune Axe x4 (4)
Rune Arrow x42 (7)
Arcane Flowerpot x4 (4)
Cermet Chunk x72 (12)
Adaman Nugget x6 (3)
So unless I got really lucky I would say the good zone for Rune Kris is Crawlers' Nest. This gives me hope that there is a good zone for Rune Algol too.

My guess for Rune Algol is Garlaige Citadel but I can't test that until later tonight.

Was able to borrow a raetic sword +1 for a bit and tested it. The Store TP effect is different than what I was expecting, but actually better. It procs on every single attack round for the first attack in the round. If you're offhanding it, it procs on the first strike for your offhand. The extra Store TP = MP Consumed/2 (half the double attack rate.)

Snaps do dangruf wadi or whatever for algol. Pulled 3 in a row there.

I may have had a bug, though, since I was in a rush to get to work.

I've been doing Ordelle's. I know that each of the new weapons can be found in two zones. The drop rate might be equal for both or higher for one. Not sure. My guess would be the following.
Rune Scythe: Gusgen -> Eldieme
Rune Kris : Crawlers -> Shakhrami
Rune Algol : Ordelles -> Wadi

Just in case it was overlooked by someone, I think I remember reading somewhere that you got better results for armor/weps when trading on the day that was opposite of the element of the apparatus. Not sure that was ever really confirmed. Doctor status definitely helped.

Went looking for some scythes earlier and here are my findings.
Gusgen on lightning day, x36 trades and got:
Rune Chopper x6
Rune Scythe x2
Rune Bangles x5
Rune Arrows x4

Well another win for blu and drk I guess lol. Regular melees probably gunna be stuck at 10-20 assuming they have refresh to maintain

You shouldn't worry too much about getting the full effect. I can't remember my exact MP total on WAR in Escha but I remember it being more than 500, maybe even more than 600. Even with just that Raetic Algol blows away the competition and your mana gets restored between fights. For situations like Dynamis or whatever where you don't get mana restored on a regular basis, I think you'll need Heavenward Howl. I don't feel it's worth the effort or cost to use any additional mana buffs otherwise. Raetic Scythe might be feasible in those situations as well because of Entropy.
By clearlyamule 2017-11-27 15:11:30
Well just remember vorseals give a good 200 mp so non mp jobs aren't going to be having tons though will depend on job and what otherwise optimal gear choices are. iirc my rng is only around 300 in it's midshot set.
And while geas fete does restore mp each fight remember with attack speeds being what they are it's quite possible to deplete your pool in 30 seconds or so. Luckily refresh vorseals will help some there but ws swapping might kill some too (time to start locking some pieces if they lower your current mp lol?) so will probably need some form of mp regeneration. Howl's a pretty good choice though since it's gain rate chances with attack speed to keep matching depletion and at the right phase 2hrs probably gain more than they lose. Maybe aspir samba for similar reason

It's always possible to just switch weapon to scythe every 5 ws.
Since someone asked on Reddit and I can't seem to find the answers anywhere, I ended up testing them myself and I would like to share the test results here hoping to answer some of the questions people may have.
Everything is still kinda wip atm.
Q1: How does mp drain to DA really works.
A: Based on current result, it drains 5% of current max mp and 1 mp spent add 1% DA.
Q2: Does it proc offhand.
A: Yes
Q3: How does it stack with other sources of multi attack.
A:Based on result from Chiaia it can only proc on 1st swing.
Q4:How does HQ version work.
A: Based on results from Snaps, it procs on every single attack round for the first attack in the round. If you're offhanding it, it procs on the first strike for your offhand. The extra Store TP = MP Consumed/2 (half the double attack rate.)
Q5: Is it worth it to sacrifice buff slots for refresh.
Looking at every refresh buffs:
RDM refresh 3: 15
+8 brd ballad x3: 30 (I think)
Crooked +7 no.11 evokers: 14
Entrust Indi-refresh: 6?? (I think)
Aspir samba: varies
Total refresh: 65+
Effectively 65%+ DA every 3 sec using 3 song slots, 1 roll slot and 1 entrust bubble slots.
Drain da MP for 50 STP plz!!!
Q6: Can Raetic bangles proc on magic damage?
A: Yes.
Will update the info on this page as I go, or if anyone else willing to test them.
Any opinions are welcomed.
-----------------------
Test #1:
Job: RDM in escha (so I can get as much refresh as possible)
Completely naked, 0 multi attack in gears/spell and zero haste too.
Full mp pool: 1246 Mp pool after 1 swing: 1184 62 mp drained.
Only swing at the enemy at 1246 mp, then I turn and wait until mp full again to do next swing so every swing drains 62 mp.
Result after 100 swings: DA proc: 60, no proc: 40.
This result is extremely close to amount of mp drained so proc rate is very likely to match mp drained. If you lose 60 mp then you get 60% proc rate etc. Unless someone else has different result.
Test #2:
Mainhand lv1 excalipoor offhand raetic so I can tell which swing came from offhand with dmg differences. Once again 0 multi attack in gears and spell. DA does proc on offhand swings.
Test #3
COR/RDM, 539 full mp, 513 after 1 swing. 26 MP drained.
DA proc: 26, no proc: 80. Proc rate 24.5% after 106 swings.
Test #4
Raetic Bangle: 1310 max MP, got hit 125 times, proc 12 times.
More to come, hopefully.
