The swiss are stronger on paper but I wouldn't underplay this Albania too much, they're strangely decent.

As one can see it is not too late to join the game as everyone just got a measly 1 point from first day.

What awaits us for first match of the second day?
First game will be Albania vs Switzerland.
Media's focus seem to be on the brothers Granit Xhaka (playing for Switzerland) and Taulant Xhaka (playing for Albania).

On paper Switzerland is vastly superior. They played 6 times against each other, 1 Draw and 5 wins for Switzerland. Squad worth in € Albania with 46,15 Mio.€ and Switzerland with 174,85 Mio.€. Best goalgetter for Albania is Sadiku (5 goals) and for Switzerland Shaqiri (17 goals).
That doesn't really matter today though. Siwtzerland is unable to control a game for long periods and Albania plays very defensivly but will seek its chances.
In the qualification Albania managed to beat Portugal, Serbia and Denmark once in the beginning but failed to do so in the second half of the qualification. It still got enough points to avoid the playoffs. Switzerland had an extremly easy group in qualification, with only one real team which was England and lost both times to it. (other teams were San Marino, Lithuania, Estonia, Slovenia)
It basically was a Wild Card for Switzerland.

You were saying it's a penalty which threw me off, picking up a deliberate back pass results in an indirect free kick unless the rules have changed.

I don't think he intended to pass it back to the keeper, I think he was trying to put his foot through it to clear but he was stretching.

Saying that, they have been given in the past so I guess the Swiss got lucky?
