I'll call this deserved despite being a lot of bad luck for us involved. But it still is not the better team. I hope neither France nor Portugal score, and then it goes to penalty, and no one scores. Then both teams die of exhaustion.

I won't be watching it most likely if there is anything else remotely interesting on TV as I dislike the mentallity of both teams. It's that of bullies who don't want to act as soon as someone even appears. I might just cling too much on the illusion of sportsmanship preventing me to have fun from that. But I wish everyone else being entertained from it if you decide to watch it. You sound so salty :s
France deserves the final, Portugal not so much..they got there by sheer luck, I really hope they lose - and not just out of spite for Cristiano, they're just a terrible team who shouldn't be there.

I have seen Germany being defeated in Semi finals and above 6 times since the millennium change and that is just in male football. I'm not bothered by it for more than a day or two. The France 2016 mentallity is too close to that of Atlético Madrid. I don't want football to walk into that direction any further. It's not entertaining me so I didn't watch the last Champion's league final either. I had more fun watching how France played in 2014. It will be a more cagey slow game because that's how Portugal have played this tournament. It's a wonder they even got to the final since they only won 1 game this whole tournament in normal time.
I wasn't impressed with how Portugal played against Wales. Nothing really happened until the second half. France have more about them to not be held back by a defensive minded team. The only thing I dislike about the team is the fact that they kept Evra and the young mentality (Pogba in a certain game spent the whole game shooting HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE stuff from 50m away, stuff like that). I don't see what's the issue beyond that, and Germany suffers from the exact same problem in that regard. I don't remember the exact team we had in 2014 but seeing how there is only one cancer left in the team now, it can't be better than it is nowadays. It's actually a team you can "like", which hasn't happened since 2000. |
