Didn't really wanna comment, but the Middle Screenshot is Rendered via Ingame engine I believe, either that or of lower quality CGI than the original trailer, you can "Tell" because the foliage isn't shaded in nearly as high of detail as the CGI cutscenes. All the environmental screen shots in the "Intro" Section appear to be in-game.
Not that WoW is a better game, but one thing I will admit is I love their (Mostly) Seamless world. I'm hoping for this in FFXIV. Though I intend to give the game a shot pretty much no matter what, which I'm sure the Odin Server is grateful for. There is no updated information on the website....
Oh yeah, there is, as long as you don't use the EU site. I really hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Played too many MMOs were EU players were treated like 2nd class players. Yeah noticed that, I think there's also more info on the NA site than there is on the JP site too, probably to boost sales of that magazine though lol.
Like Blazza, I'm now looking forward to FFXIV regardless, with the current information out however. Though if you can only max out a single job, is there any MMORPG outside of FFXI that doesn't have it that way? (Serious question, I know DoMO is much like FFXI as far as the job system goes.)
Also, I'm pretty sure Guild Wars being F2P as it is, was quite groundbreaking for an MMORPG as it stands. You're probably right, I don't know of any other MMO's that allow multiple jobs on the one character, but that's always been one of the unique and great things about XI, so when you have an edge of the competition in one area, why drop it for what the competition are doing? FFXIV = FFXI+1

I have better things to do soon in life than to get sucked into another MMO. :P We'll see. You want to play the game, you don't want the lifestyle that comes with dedicating yourself to an MMO. I'm the same, but I REEEAAALLY wanna play it :p

Well I can't disagree, but I don't think it's really a big deal. Anyhow, even with the multiple job system, some people still created mules to just level a particular set of jobs. Even if that's still 5 years away, another MMO will be released, then we'll all wanna move there, and etc. Just a giant chain. Seen too many parents who get lost into MMOs and pay their kids no attention; NO CAN'T TAKE YOU TO THE PARK, ENDGAME NEEDS ME. Yaddayaddayadda. Of course there are some who manage to do it well, but I'm already victim to getting sucked in, who says I won't again? It's like smoking and giving it up, then saying you'll smoke but only a little.
