I know this might sound dumb, I'm still in high school and I hate science lol. But, to travel backwards wouldn't everything in the past have to registered in some kind of 'time book' I guess you would call it? I don't see how something already done could be undone.

WHo knows, maybe if time travel were possible maybe you would appear in a different dimension while in that period. You know, kind of like ghosts in ours. Where they can see and hear us but cant talk to us.
Im sure if itwere ever possible the results wouldbe mind blowing what we can and cant do.

Time travel
parallel universes
Aliens
How far the universe goes..
What would the ocean look like if you drained all the water from the sea?
What if you took all the water from the ocean and put it in the sun...

:D

When we see starlight [explode etc] through a telescope we're literally looking back in time, as it's common knowledge it take's light..years.. to travel to us.

This is interesting but wouldnt that mean we are looking at the future since the stars are light years ahead of us? looking from the stars to us would be looking back in time?

ohh i think i get it now. its moving so fast that when we see it its not really there its already moved on.

Pretty much, since light moves at a finite speed.

That's why, technically speaking, to visit other galaxies it's near impossible even going the normal speed of light to get there as a normal human.

People think we're only going to achieve inter-space travel through wormholes and such.

Even if they get a method of transportation that does move faster than the speed of light will the human body be able to handle it....
I dont know much about wormholes but if you go through one you would need to go through another one to get back.. meaning you can end up lost in space..

Aye, Bartimaeus, we have similar thinking on the "time travel" of perception. (see first page post)

I've also thought of the theory of time as the 4th dimension, and I really don't like that definition. Mainly because people like to say a change in time is a change in the 4th dimension (Each second a "point along the line"), yet any physical explanation is merely the sum of all 3rd dimension changes, such that any change of an object over time can be described as a change in the 3rd dimension given a 2-d plane. It also kinda ignores mathematic calculations for n-dimension problems.

Interesting theories arise from time travel though, we need to hurry up and reach light speed. (No pun intended)

I think it was a physics class i was once i the teacher was saying if there are a set of identical twins and one goes to the moon and the other stays on earth the one who goes to the moon will be a little bit older when he returns.
I guess speed is a factor- if something does happen to go faster than the speed of light what will happen?..

i think physics state that "speed of light" is the universal speed limit and is impossible to go quicker then that (forgot actual number) but... traveling near or close to the speed of light time slows down... wont completely stop but damn near close to it... i think someone stated already. change isnt possible so technically traveling "back" to an event that already took place isnt possible because time can never go backwards (example of change: if u mix chocolate ice cream with strawberry u can never get the pure taste of chocolate again, unless of course you start over again. question: does it mean when u die your life starts over again same as your previously life? deja vu? but if thats true does one REALLY have a choice? or is his choice pre determined by what he did pass life? deja vu?? hmm. matrix??), but slowing down time to almost a complete halt is something different. i heard the analogy somewhere before, where if u take a person and he travels at the speed of light to a distance world or w/e it would seem like hours have gone by where years have passed on earth.

Edit: Universal Speed Limit but... Tachyon
physics is just down right insane >.>;

in terms on how big the universe is... scholars say that the universe is till growing every since the big bang... its also believed that as the universe expands there will be a day where it will stop and collapse on itself forming what is/was called (i dont know if they still call it the same now) "the big crunch"
sort of like how black holes operate.

The speed of light is 186 thousand mile an hr. (7 orbits of Earth at the equator per second)

They say The law of physics say the fastest speed that can be achieved is the speed of light and that it is always constant. The faster you travel the slower the passage of time. Trying to understand what "Time" is will be the first step.

There is a theory everything we do is predetermined and that everything that can happen, does happened in an infinite parallel universe.

Lastly the exception to the faster than light speed rule, would be the big bang. When that occured it must have travelled faster than speed of light for it to expand beyond our observable horizon. (yes I like cosmology and a semi geek when it comes to this!)

Yeah the Universe is expanding faster than the speed of light. There are galaxies giving off light that will never reach us because they are moving away faster than the speed of light.

I already talked about meth ban for street drugs at Pierce College & other places as well, the best way that I do not recommend to try is, "Candyflipping". While on that or other substances, meditate & delve into your psyche. I was at this house party using spiritual mana bursts to make the sun rise from midnight sky status, using my house key to operate my integra at the time & the only witnesses were my brother, andy anderson & my fiance at the time / Ryden of Fairy.

Mitosis & Meiosis are in the patterns of Apollo for the sole god of fire in the sky, the sun in representative power, Lucifer / Satan for the dual / 2 numerological of forbidden alchemy reproduction methods.

The whole time I did that, I felt myself float while meditating, then later on, I was brought to a chinese new years celebration in northern Calfornia where the Dali Llama did a consecration on the restaurant.

It was also during the, "Candyflip" that I could mathematically dissect & answer all of the questions of multi-verse existence with the letter & homonym chants of spiritual vedic arts & practices, as well as speak in all languages easily. Now i'm just rather apathetic to tap into that power of my extent anymore as the Filiros / Athena bearer told of / from Greek times, spoken as Celes & the place known as Athens to Ionia in the Odysseus.

Add on: In sacred context, the method of mitosis & meiosis are the same set patterns as Sine Sequence to Binary Wave mathematics, also seen as to how plants & creatures reproduce or just are in genetic make up.

Hell, they don't even have time travel in Star Trek, aside from that one episode of Voyager I saw, oh and the Q.

/cough yeah there is, in the new movie and in Enterprise..lots and lots of time travel..

haven't seen the new movie yet, but from what i heard your right. and i think he meant the shows worth watching. enterprise was more void of entertainment than porn with plot. coincidentally though it did star the guy who starred in Quantum Leap. /headexplode

Boundsoul has the use of trinities / holy trinity in the method of the flower of life in his avatar as of now, a practice & belief from the kabbalistic tree of life / the sephiroth (sephira for singular context). The flower of life is to represent the faces of a crystal, having the ability to see things from different points of perception & to have inner light, representing enlightenment & purity of self, not ego bearing monotonous negativity of being.
