I do get the tangent you were wanting to go into. I chose not to address it because I couldn't properly formulate what I wanted to get into about it.

We have polygenic traits which are coded for by multiple genes, you also have genes that code for multiple proteins/traits. Long-term wise by adjusting one trait you consequently adjust another via altruism/hithiking, so by removing one gene that is not linked whatsoever to another gene. If it was assisted by altruism in that species you effect the altruistic gene. As far as gay goes... If you ask psychiatrists or psychologists they'll say it's a heritable trait. Then again they THINK everything is a heritable trait lol. Most geneticists don't agree with that line of thought. Homosexuality functions outside of sexual orientation, and controls population size.

Glad at least the new generation is not as stuck up in this certain matter. Maybe you and your cousin can learn about genetics together.
