Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remastered

Best FF is IX (and VII) with no doubt.
And do not forget FFT too. FFX has a nice ending, a nice game still on FF standard but not masterpiece like IX and Xenogears.

I would like to see a ff9 remastered.

FFX I think has actually aged well. I love me some FFX, if the voice acting was a tad better it would be a masterpiece bestgameevar...Its still one of my ultimate favorites..its a straight forward love story with a perfect ending. Great game.

FF9 was great too but I only played it the once and it blew me away at the time but I really don't remember it that much. It's been overlooked alot.

10 is probably my favorite just because it was the first one I played seriously, I tried 7 and 8 before it and couldn't get into them. I'll probably end up getting this just so I can nostalgia all over the place in HD. And weep to the music.

X-2 was kinda meh for me, they changed too much, it would have been fine if they left everything relatively the same and just continued the story, imo.

the reason I feel 7-8-9 have yet to be remastered is because of the way the maps and cgi is too complicated the way they did it.

locations where all MPG videos and animated pictures, so they have to be remade from scratch, or build and sculpt non-existing 3d models
instead of just up-scaling and updating textures for HD.
basically a new game.

That could be very true for 7 and 8, but it seems like many (maybe all?) of 9's backgrounds were rendered beautifully in large resolutions before being scaled down for the PS1.

You can see some of them in this GAF thread. It'd be *amazing* if they did a re-release with those...

FFT is the best Final Fantasy, yes.

Xenogears is the best Final Fantasy (It was supposed to be ff7, but the story was deemed too dark for an FF game, so it was made into its own project)

Agreed FFIX was a wonderful game. I've been hoping for a remake :3

Played each Final Fantasy (up to X-2) released in NA through 100%, and enjoyed everyone of them. 10 was my favorite personally. Absolutely loved the story. One of the few video games to ever move me emotionally. There were parts of FF's prior to 10 that were moving, but none as powerful as X's story. Only game story that ever brought me to tears. X-2 was decent, but not as well crafted as X. Only FF I ever started, and didn't finish was 12. It just didn't do it for me, and was actually the last FF title I ever purchased. Just been playing XI forever since it came out.

Only other game I ever played that was as fantastic as Final Fantasy was Phantasy Star 3. Just ordered that collection with 3, and 4(which I've never played) on it, and am looking forward to going through 3 again, and seeing 4 for the first time.

I remember how incredibly excited I was when I began XI. My 1st (and only ever) MMO. To have a FF game that never ended! Had so many great memories in XI over the years. Sure is a shame seeing it in it's current state. Oh well. Say what you want, but Final Fantasy has been the most awesome experience in video games for me. From the old 8 bit grey box Nintendo initial release on up to today!

is it bad that I liked SD more? ._.; they looked super pale in HD... I might have to watch it again to see though.

not to mention i don't think they would allow a ending like that in a FF xD

I only started FFXII for the first time in January. A few months before I setup my ps2emu. I finished the playthrough shortly after,but woulda waited for a HD version had it been announced.

Can't wait to get this and not play/finish X-2 again. Wooo

I'm most likely going to leave it till early next year. Buying it on day of release of course,but with new consoles and several other games I want coming out at the end of this year,not to mention XIV,I'll likely use the time next year during the "new console initial drought" to catch up on heavy investment games. I 100%'d FFX but only played a few hours of FFX-2 back in the day. I'll at least finish it this time around.

Kinda pissed off it doesnt come with a vita download code and they're both sold seperately =\

i'll ebay it for 10 bucks. Not paying full price for games I put hundreds of hours in and still have save files for.

This. I would love to play through both of these games again and reap the trophies and such, but there is no way i'm willing to put $40 into games that are 10-12 years old or so.

You guys know if this HD release includes everything on International version (back then) with english sub? :)

Idk about sub/voice options,but yes they are both the international versions of the games

was talking about extra content like those dark summons. But thx anyways. ^^
