If the eliminated JA delay from Maneuver use, PUP would instantly become a much more enjoyable job for me. As it is, I feel like I'm playing a job that is so hamstrung by JA Delay that its unique element (the automaton) can necessarily only be useful in very low Haste situations (soloing).

I agree with you, the JA delay is obnoxious. At the very least, maneuvers should have 2-4x their current duration.

So, longtime PUP playing RUN now and all I can think about is the massive similarity between the runes and PUP maneuvers. 10 second recast shared across 8 elements, can put 1-3 runes/maneuvers up (RUN gets access to 2/3 runes at level 35/65), runes/maneuvers can be consumed by certain actions (RUN JAs, some automaton attachments).

But wow, that 5min duration on runes is just making me CRAZY that they don't just do the same thing with PUP. Need this change, badly. Here's hoping that the dev team that thought the 5min duration on runes made sense sees the logic in extending that to PUP.

And to think RUN is a tank job, so it's gonna need to hold hate, and is mucked down by JA delays. I guess at least with run it adds to en-spell dmg and such. Kind of nuts how they are so similar with JA delays but SE deemed them a tank job. Hopefully SE will massively extend maneuver duration. It would help so much just by doing that.

Twilight is better. I'm gonna make an assumption that PUPs on Quetz don't have Shinryu access... 'cause the alternative is to laugh at the server.

Edit: Unless they have all hit haste cap without waist, and can't afford a windbuffet.

Mustela are fine since you don't have Myrmex. Nefarious Collar would be better, Moonshade Earring Aug:Atk+4 TP bonus +25, belt could maybe use Prosilio belt instead and feet Thaumas nails. Oh and of course as you can see Usukane +1 head. Your TP set seems fine from what I see.

Ok so! 2000 Alexandrite, a few thousand ichor , and 20 assaults from now I'll be wielding a pair of these so I figured I'd share my thoughts!

ItemSet 282113

Variations: The Cirque Pantaloni +2 / Goading combination is technically like 0.1% ahead on weak enemies (DC) but if you push up level and defense a bit Shaolin/Usukane+1 comes ahead. Also, Shaolin is cooler. Shaolin / Usukane+1 is always better if JP Wiki is right and KKK99 is -55 delay and not 50 as we have listed! Plus, automaton or something!

Nomkahpa is better than Cirque +2 technically in these combinations but it's also by approximately 0.1% and Nomkahpa are a hefty price to pay for something so inconsequential.

You don't need to make any changes for AM3. But yeah, bro! Shaolin belt! Who the *** knew!? Pretty sure I dropped mine. BRB LATHEINE

(JP Wiki is wrong a lot but occasionally they have little nuggets of gold, lol Hastega)

That will not stop me from using Shaolin Belt! I just went all the way to La Theine [A] to get one!

Is really Shaolin belt better than Windbuffet belt according to numbers with that set? Just asking, don't go all troll out. Just asking since I don't look at the spreadsheets to test stuff.

I thought about building KKK, but looking at all the new weapons, don't the new ones really outshine them? Dat 79 dmg h2h though... I mean my goodness.

Still think the MA V and the aftermath will outDD those. I think, not sure since I don't have them. Also, reason KKK is so good for PUPs is for the added stats of suppress overload and aftermath going to puppet too, wich at the end makes it more useful.

Well yeah, I figure it's real catch is that huge MA bonus, basically nulling KKK's delay. That new h2h just looks so damn strong though. It's what, like 75% stronger than 99 KKK, as far as pure dmg is concerned? I want em to mess with that's for sure.

Not really, no. PUP has about 49 base damage apart from their weapon (ignoring fSTR), which means that KKK has 90 base damage and Thapthapthapthapthap has 123. So it's more like 36% higher base damage and 97 more delay.

Tlalpoloani:
Nahuatl for "a conquerer or destroyer of lands and people." With D74, I'd say yeah, that's about right.

For back TP piece, which would be better, Pantin, Rancor or Blithe? I'm thinking blithe for the 2% DA, but i see people postin Rancor

Rancorous unless you need to avoid the +DT, in which case use Pantin. Pantin if auto damage matters. Blithe, never.

whats the reasoning behind not using blithe? I feel like the evasion and double attack would be worth it

You don't generally need to evade and double attack simultaneously (Blithe might have its place in a hybrid set but there are stronger evasion options for the back that will open up stronger DD options than the 2% DA on Blithe elsewhere)
