Did anyone ever test Xoanon on SCH? I'd be interested in its output in different scenarios compared to already existing options (Raetic, Daybreak, Grio, Akademos etc.)and whether its worth keeping it locked or not.
I did test it against other options and couldn't find a good reason to use it. daybreak/maxentius sub culminus was doing most damage for helix. i never tried raetic staff because i don't have one, and akademos seemed to always win for high tier nukes
you did some helix's with 3000tp and daybreak still outperformed?
yes although i think it was close. staff/enki strap @3000tp is 341mdmg + 26 mab vs. 316 mdmg + 60 mab from daybreak/culminus. and that staff has to be at 3k when other option doesn't
SCH magic burst Helixes for a lot of dmg over a period of time for a single cast. For that you want to cap out MBurst dmg wihich this neck helps with (+10). It's got very competitive stats for the slot (+15 int), very healthy dose of MACC as well. The Magic Damage on the aug is great for helixes since they typically use that stat very well. The duration +10% also means it will do 1 or 2 more ticks of dmg so that's another dmg buff to it.
It's also an amazing enfeebling piece with the mnd and acc.

What is this for?
Basically, it's an all in one, top of the line, everything offensive magic neck piece. It's amazeballs.
The +1 only getting +7 Magic Burst dmg is a kick in the balls because it throws capping MBD on a set in a weird spot leaving you uncapped, or lacking in MBD2.
So you're saying it's more for helixes, but can be used for general enfeebling and bursting as well?
It's the best neck piece for all offensive categories, just like Elizabet said. Helix, enfeebling, non burst nooks, bursted nooks, skillchaining, drain/aspir. At R25 it has the best stats for all those things.

Wouldn't Erra Pendant be better for non-burst Drain/Aspir? Close to the same M.Acc, but with the Dark Magic Skill to help the amount of HP/MP you get, plus the potency bonus.
17 MACC and 10 skill isnt almost equal to 30 MACC and 15 INT. The 5% potency @450 dark skill translates to a 20MP/HP boost if you get the max amount proc. If I have to choose between the 2, I'd take the MACC.
The 40% listing is correct for MB1, it's possible the guide editor wrote 50% because Mujin/Almaric Gloves are MB2 which are subject to there own separate cap so they do in fact cause you to have 50% total (and Scholar is "effectively" capped at 50% because they don't have other sources of MB2 like Ea gear).

SCH can get 15 MBB II. Almaric +1 (6), Mujin Band (5), and Relic Head +3 (4).
So I've been having talks with someone in LS and he is saying SCH only needs 27 Magic burst bonus in gear since it gets 13% from Job Gifts.
Is this correct? Do Job Gifts count towards the 40% cap, I am arguing they don't as they don't for BLM.
I currently gear my SCH to have 40%~ MBB in gear while my ls friend gears for 27%, which one is the right one so I know if I am making a mistake or not?
Also as a follow up, would it be best to use Empyrean Feet +1 over anything else if Klimaform is up for Helix Magic burst if you can fill the magic burst bonus elsewhere?
Atm this is my current MB set for Helix and so far it's worked for everything at capping 10k. I've had some Macc issues when soloing harder stuff such as Genbu and Vir'ava, but I guess that's expected.
Caps exactly 40% thanks to augments.
ItemSet 372750
I'm using this and swap for emp feet/akademos when i remember to klimaform.
So I'm needing to make the +3 body for my high Macc bursts, but I think with my current Merlinic augs, it'd be detrimental to my set imo.
But as I mentioned, the only time I've actually had Macc issue is when soloing vir'ava or genbu. I can cap Genbu with Ebullience, but on Vir'ava I can only get like 8k With Ebullience, so it is definitely noticable.
Here's my problem with this assertion that keeps getting repeated over and over. I have completed approximately ~1200 runs against Lilith on Easy, as my 2100 JP scholar, where the following holds true:
1.) Any MBD1+ gear beyond 27% wasn't increasing my PyroHelixII damage. (Akademos, +2 Neck, Jhakri Feet+2).
2.) I replace the other pieces (including AF1+3 body, which has MBD1+10 on it, with Amalric+1 Body and I noticed a jump from ~8000 to ~9000 or so damage from my pyrohelix II spells.
3.) I continued this trend, replacing my other MBD1 piece (Merlinic Legs) with Amalric+1 legs) and consistently got over ~10,000 damage, solo against Lilith.
Unless something else is at play here, like Lilith's Magic Defense Bonus being so low, that it enables me to get more Helix II damage without +40 in gear.
To reiterate, I'm getting higher helix2 damage with just MBD+27% and MAB+ in gear than any other combination of gear. (I'm not relying on anyone else. I'm simply relying on my SCH, Immanence, Ebullience and FireStorm II, and there are other buffs/debuffs whatsoever, to affect my HelixII damage).
If you don't believe me, can you replace AF1+3 body with Amalric+1 body and explain to me why your helix damage is higher with Amalric+1 body? (I would venture to guess that MAB+53 on the body has a greater effect on Fusion->Pyrohelix than MBD1+10 from AF1+3?).
I understand that people keep repeating that SCH gifts for MBD1 don't go towards the 40 cap, but I think they do and people are waisting gear slots where MAB should be used instead.
I don't think lilith and helix is the corect way to test this, it should be easier on something lower lv, with a nuke and just adding/removing something like 5% ring mb1.
i'll test it when i have the chance.
Edit: just a quick test
locked gear undercapped, induration on slobbering ruszor

I don't agree with your testing assertion, as Lilith on Easy is only around i-level ~124 technically. Anyway, for sake of clarity, this is what Helix set is now:
(I do have optimizations for Orpheus Sash, Weatherspoon Ring for Light Helixes, Archo/Pixie for Dark Helixes, etc etc ...but for Lilith, I did ~1200 runs with PyroHelix II only on non-watersday as pyrohelix on that day would get negatively impacted).
Immanence, Fire, Immanence Thunder, Ebullience while Fusion happens -> PyroHelix II (for about 10,500 dmg)
So this has answered some questions, but not all. The other question I am not sure about is this:
Is it worth using Arbatel Loafers +1 for Magic bursting on Helix or would it be better to use Magic burst bonus in that slot and use Daybreak/Ammurapi?
