Random Question thread (FFXI related)
Considering a pretty tight inventory, would you bother getting a sheltered ring?
Can anyone direct me to a link that shows which merit WS carry fTP, and which dont? I found the JP Studio Gobli, which I thought had the info, but ghetto translation didnt show anything concrete. Just want to see if there was any extensive tests done on this or not x.x .
all of them should be on the wiki erik. Or you can try BG's as well.

I checked BG's and checked all the testing links, not all of them have that they are, or arent ftp carried. I would assume if nothing is present that they do not carry, but I also would like to know if there was testing to prove that the ftp carried or not, if there was such a test out there. I have a question...what is a good 2-hour food for Dynamis? Any suggestions?
Which WS specifically Erik? All of the ones I just checked on BG have the info (it doesn't state it for upheaval, and that one doesn't carry over).
Upheaval was the main one I was looking at, but I cant find any testing to support that it doesnt carry. I've been lurking through the Test Server Findings pages(about 70 to 79 so far) to see if they mention it there but no luck so far.
As for a quick listing:
Requiescat, Resolution, Ruinator, Entropy, Stardiver, Blade: Shun, Realmrazer, Last Stand Additionally, Jishnu's Radiance also carries. I'm sure by now it's been extensively tested (as in it's been tested since it was on the test server and not even live). I would say it's safe to assume it's an emphatic no.

I've gone through page 70 to 112 so far, of the test server findings. Finding a whole bunch of merit WS info, but found only 1 test on upheaval, being how much damage it does. I was hoping to find an actual source on it, no real offence. Gonna keep looking in hopes I can find it, but from what I hear, it doesnt matter a whole lot for what I was concerned about. Didn't want to go through with making a Conqueror to find out its only about even/less then the Ragnarok99 I already have x.x lol. Apparently theres no good belt for WAR, vit wise, though I am unsure of neck piece offhand.
Anyways, I'll keep scouring after I get back home to see if maybe theres a test there or not. Thanks for the info though. I did the test for Upheaval, so I can tell you. fTP doesn't replicate.
You can figure it out with a single 300TP MS->Brew WS against Abyssic Cluster in Abyssea with gorget/belt. If TP replicated, you'd have 8.8 http://fTP. If it doesn't replicate, you'd have 5.4 http://fTP. That's >50% difference. I did it a few times and the results were very obvious. It doesn't replicate.

BUMP Are any of the WoE weapons worth getting if you don't want to make the Empy/aren't totally dedicated to the job? That sounds more believable then "it doesnt carry because I read it but cant show source on this info!" (no offence towards the people who said it, just wanted to be sure of the info x.x). An incomplete empy weapon at 90 is better than a completed WoE weapon, in addition to it taking less work (I think?).
This is my current exen set on Dyna eps. Anything horrible wrong other then no weapons? /dnc + Rcb Aluh/Str thokcha and no nni stuff yet. How do Way points work i hear people talking about them and crystals but have no clue and was hoping someone here can give me an idea of what they are and how i unlock them.

I'm always torn between Houyi's Gorget and Justiciar's Torque, but I don't think there's gonna be a big difference either way. You could of course spreadsheet it or have a friend or someone else do it if you really, really wanted to know. Thanks for the info though. Don't be scared to make Conqueror, Ragnarok is an inferior weapon for war unless you use mighty strikes. What is the repop timer on ice eles
