Random Question Thread (FFXI Related)

Not just acc, also haste. Allowed a lot of freedom in the other slots (I used the ambu legs with stp and 1% haste).
These days, and for a long time already, I just go nyame 5/5 with alabaster earring, double chirich+1, null stuff etc.

Geo melee with 5/5 nyame and null accessories is essentially unable to be enfeebled and practically unkillable.

gazu + jhakri pants is in my geo/dnc high acc set still. but i haven't used that set in probably a year now.

I used it for sortie 8boss. If you're running aminon, you gotta /drk so no tp bonus offhand option in the first place. i used null pieces and still only got around 92% acc at Aita, so uncapped offhand still, but close.

My current set as more acc than the previous set I was using (with Gazu+Jhakri) simply because of Null stuff and Alabaster R30.

Now... you could combine the old set with these new accessories for even more acc! But honestly I think I'm good on Aita and even Aminon.
ML46 or something on GEO, which I guess does provide another lil bit of help in terms of acc, of course.

To be candid, I'm building a whm dd set for fun for CP and wasn't sure if I was missing something regarding just how much acc & haste one slot would give and if I would replace any other gear. I don't have any Bunzi RP but planned on using those hands instead of Gazu anyways.

WHM has a few more options and CP/EP with WHM/NIN using Misery is fun! You should get in touch with Asura.Mims, he's a master at WHMdd.
You can totally start with 5/5 Nyame R25.
Shetal Stone & Suppanomimi
Alabaster Earring
Null Cape, Null neck (otherwise Combatant I guess?)
Chirich+1 x2.
I'm sure it can be improved aplenty but that's a pretty nice TPset for WHM.



Anyway, question on my side about Brigand's Chart quest, I've never done it.
It lasts only 3 minutes so I guess I could go PUP and use the Automaton to tank the Pugil if I get it? Can you even Fish while your automaton fights? Or does he disengage the second you start fishing?
Which baits should I be using?
Other tips for someone who has never done this thing before?

I just used something cheap that stacked to 99 (probably lugworms) since it doesnt matter what bait you use as far as I'm aware. I had someone come with to sleep the goblins and I cancelled cast on 'ferocious bite' messages to prevent fishing up the pugil. I think I only got a couple pugil bites.
