As far as Abaia go on thing says pond other says lake which is it that you should fish at? Also is there a specific spot you should fish from at them?
Is there a fish besides hakurya that NPC well and can use lu shangs without 2 much fear it will break? Just started fishing moat carps for the pole and want to see if it would still make me decent gil without all the work it would take to do haku....

Only issue I had was agro from mobs, elemental, & NM. Wasn't paying attn & agro'd while recasting sneak. another time a cleave agro'd NM & it path'd back to my pos. I haven't done enough kokuryu or soryu to talk about their bite rates.
If you can find a buyer, Abaia, Gugrusaurus, Lik, & Matsya are all good to fish...depending on the going price. NPC wise the highest amount of gil you would make with a Lu would be Armored Pisces at like 980g each or something like that. It's pretty easy to get to 78 skill without a Lu's. I'd advise going that route unless you really want a Testimony.
I totally understand wanting to own a testimony though... one of the coolest KI in the game lol

Talacca Cove with a Halcyon is actually a LOT better than using a Lu, all the line snaps and lost catches don't count to your 200 fish cap but you can still skill up on them. I would get 4 levels a day there. 0 to mid 20s Qufim - Tiger Cod & Nosteau Herring 20s to mid 40s Qufim - Cone Calamary & Bluetail (cancel squids) 40s to 55 Buburimu - Bluetail 55 to 86 Talacca Cove - Mercs & Dil, cancel Ahtapots and use Crayfish Paste 86 to 99 or whenever you get Ebisu done - Nashmau Pterygotus [quotfound mykshmi.Watusa' pid=2390507]

So I was looking at all the new items over on BG and saw a new bait that is exclusive. I'm wondering if this bait will work like Dwarf Pugils. I don't know how I feel about this, as it seems every few months they bring out new items and new gear to too keep us interested like dangling a carrot on string in front of my face.

Currently I'm 107.1 +5 Fishing Skill, been having a hard time getting skills since i hit 106.7. Is there a fish anyone would suggest for capping 110 on. Originally was fishing up shen til about 105 than after I didn't seem to get any skills in a week on him. Been jumping around since trying new ones but having no luck :(
Stick with haks or cave cherax. Skill ups suck *** at those levels. Just gotta wait it out.

I do have Ebisu, had since about lv.95 fishing. There are fast ways to skill on fishing? I've always found it slow but enjoy it. As for gil aspect i have to much atm with nothing to spend on :(
