Yes well this was made before Heros was introduced. I also have not equipped half of that gear since.... Heros was introduced.

Pride's a funny thing. It almost assuredly comes with an inherent need to latch on to things, even when they're shown to be illogical or detrimental.

Edit: And for the record, I'm not subtly suggesting that nobody should play SAM, or play the way they want. This is, after all, an exercise in personal enjoyment. As long as those directly affected by your performance don't mind, by all means, play one of the worst jobs in the game right now and show the world what your epic Jinpu(with dickall for white damage) can do. The only mistake is in pretending you're not a perfect example of the dark side of opportunity cost.

Limited discussion is necessary, if that's the kind of information you're looking for. Ideal atma aren't all that situational, nor do they care what one prefers.

That said, I'm horrendously out of touch with this job, and have limited knowledge of what atma does what.

Yup, that would be why I use them.

I totally understand that Ukon is the better weapon. I concede that WAR is the better job in Abyssea but a simple point still remains.

What has this got to do with SAM atma choice? Is it so hard to comprehend that not everyone plays WAR? This thread should've died long before Ironguy came in here.

I will not deny mnk's usefulness over sam in abyssea. If we had more people in ls I could show up on sam all the time but alas, I must throw on the dirty monk robes.
