Shiva "Ballista Appreciation Day" Player Event

Hosting an official Player Event Supported Ballista extravaganza Saturday, May 28 from 4pm-midnight Pacific / 7pm-3am Eastern.

Just a casual PvP marathon. All uncapped matches, except possibly Official Ballista matches if people are interested in those. This is the second in a possible series of events, created so that our new friends from Alexander who were not on the server for the first one can join in! The first event went very well with matches played all through the night :D

I wish my server did things like this o.o PvP is actually pritty good in the game if you don't try to play it like PvE and have a few people rather then a bunch of pointless 1v1s.

Wow I'm not going to be on this weekend I will be in orgy of alcohol and food in South Padre Island, but when I recover and you do this again I'm there. I have never ever done ballista heck or Garrison for that matter. I'm down for some old school stuff!!!

For one match, I might offer a (small) gil payout or other reward to the winners. :)

a JP group apparently planning a shiva vs alexander event spammed cures on me, as if we were fighting over an HNM, to prevent me from talking to the NPC to claim the diorama- Yes. Not Nidhogg or Tiamat or Cerberus... but an effing NPC. Beforehand tried to talk about it to the limited extent we were able, but they refused to let the handful of people with me participate. I found from soneone later that they had planned this a few days earlier, but I talked with GMs to set up the event over a WEEK before.

(Before anyone mentions blockaid, I had no idea something like that would happen, so I didn't think to turn it on)

Ballista is a relatively rare event. I would happily welcome any and everyone that wants to participate, JP or otherwise. The more the merrier in PvP, I say. But it would seem they don't feel the same way.

Anyway, I'll ballista any day of the week. if you want to plan ahead to join in, we can make that happen. :)
