I used to have trouble sleeping if I didn't have music, but my first roommate in college fixed that. Then I used to haaaate fans... friend Ben fixed that. Then I used to hate snoring, and I still hate snoring. It drives me insane when someone is snoring, but I will eventually pass out as long as I cover my ears. Boot Camp did that. Now I can sleep like a rock no matter the situation, and from what I hear... if I get on a sub after Prototype, then I can elect to sleep in a torpedo tube/near one. Then I can get used to the insanely loud noise of them firing practice torpedoes!
Of course, most of it is harmless background radiation that won't really do much to you. If it was gamma radiation from the decay of Co-59, then you'd have something to worry about, or if it was fast neutron radiation...
